INSTALLING THE CS MOD (READ CAREFULLY!):
1. A FULL install of the original CC3 is required before
installing the CS mod. You must also have the CC3 v3.0b patch
from Atomic installed.
2. DELETE ALL the files from the Data\Battles, Data\Ops,
Data\Camp_ops and Data\Campaign directories. This is very
important and if not done correctly will result in "Can't
Find Operation in Data" or a crash to desktop.
3. Extract all files to .....C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Games\Close Combat III. Make sure that your zip programme is
checked to "use folder names"
4. A separate folder is included in the CS download called
Mappatch. In it are two .txt file replacements for the Junction
map and Hottot map. These maps were built with traditional cc3
element hedges instead of Dreaded's WF Elements. The hedges will
not provide the same cover as bocage. Using these .txt files will
turn the hedges into bocage identical to most WF maps.
The following maps are needed to play the enclosed historical
operations and "Normandy Campaign". You can find them

Though they are not included with the submod, many CC5 maps can
be used in CC3, and they are ideal, geographically correct maps
for Commonwealth Summer. First you must get CC5 and then you can
download the correct, matching text files in CC5to3, available
at: http://www.closecombatmapmaking.f2s.com/
Follow directions in the zip enclosed readme.
KNOWN ISSUES:
*Names.txt file has been added to the Base folder. Some
operations would not work without this. This file is nothing more
than a copy of the GENames.txt.
*Mod or sub-mod? Much of CS is based on data from WF, so in that
sense it is a sub-mod. You install it like it's a separate Mod.
*Rarity editing may be a little rough around the edges.
