AGEOD has just announced its latest title, World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18. In a well timed move, World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18 will be released on November 11th, to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the signature of the armistace. World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18 will be an historical grand strategy game that is turn based. Designed by Philippe Thibaut (designer of other award-winning titles such as Europa Universalis, American Civil War, and Great Invasions, amongst others.) World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18 will allow the gamer to play the entire conflict and lead the destiny of the seven main fighting nations (France, Great-Britain, Russia, Italy, Imperial Germany, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the Ottoman Empire).
World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18 will not only allow the player to manage the war on a strategic and operational level, but also to manage diplomatic maneuvers, technological research, and the domestic political stability of each nation during a period of revolutionary turmoils. World War One : La Grande Guerre 14-18 is based on the award winning board game La Grande Guerre 14-18™ (Azure Wish, 1999) using well tested game play mechanisms.
Some exclusive features will include:
- Single and multiplayer gaming is supported with up to four simultaneous players through LAN or TCP/IP;
- The game will include one grand campaign, four campaigns, and several smaller scenarios.
- Players will be able to play wild cards (Lenine, Mata Hari, Fokker, etc.) disrupting their opponents' strategies in order to influence the course of the war.
- Each player will select different war plans at the beginning of the conflict allowing strategic surprise and great replay value.
