Welcome to the new and improved Wargamer.com! You’ll first notice our new layout, which will make viewing the latest and current news and articles much more easily than before! Articles and news are placed side by side for easy viewing, with news posts getting more attention to type and a style change to make it easier to read. However not all the changes are on the surface, there are additional changes and updates abound.
Readers can now “Like” articles and news posts on the front page to let their friends and family know of important and interesting posts and articles. Looking for a certain article or news post? Readers can use advanced search and Google search to find any article and forum post they want with relative ease. Complete with RSS feed functionality, the new Wargamer front page is ready to keep you informed of wargaming news and events!
One of the biggest updates to the Wargamer is the one-site login. Readers can log in on the front page and be already logged at the Gamer’s Network, (Opponents Wanted, Battle Leagues, Battle HQ and Games Depot) and in the forums themselves. Speaking of the forums, our forums get a much-needed facelift, along with additional features. Users can utilize the new shoutbox, which allows members to post messages in a chatroom-like box that is viewable to the entire forum, great for organizing games or seeing what is going on! Members can even utilize the RSS feed in the forums to keep track of trending threads and posts. Members can also comment on front page news and articles that are automatically posted to their own forum in the General Section. Members will also be able to link their Facebook account to their forums account, which will allow them to be logged into the forums if they’re logged in on their Facebook account, as well as “Like” threads.
Don’t think we’ve stopped there either, Wargamer plans on bringing new features in the near future that will improve functionality and interaction with our readership! Want to be even more connected? Check out our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter to stay in the know with Wargamer!
