Expansions
Several commercial expansions were released for Axis and Allies. On this page I present some info about these expansions. If you want to review a variant please let me know.





Xeno Games released several A&A expansions. The two most well-known are Europe at War and World at War.
This company has released 3 expansions for A&A and one for Risk: New World Order, Central Powers, Axis and Allies Accessories and Risk 2042. I have some info about the WWI and WWIII expansions. All four contain plastic playing pieces in the original colors.
Guild of Blades released several A&A expansions. The War to End
All Wars deals about WWI in Europe and the the rest of the world. This package comes
with a new map and new rules. The game You need two sets of playing pieces to play this
one. An expansion for this game - Great War in Africa - was also released. This
subpage offers a review, official errata by Guild of Blades and some rules proposals for
the WWI game.
Another expansion is called Axis and Allies 1483. It deals about the struggle of
several medieval countries. The A&A game system is used for this game. The map is
black and white printed on red (!) paper. Two add-ons for this game is released: Asia
1483 and Africa 1483.
The Guild of Blades also released A&A-like games about the Spanish Civil War
and about the Falkland War.
GP has released three A&A expansions. These packages include a rule book and a sheet of counters. The third expansion also included a new map (though the territories on this new map are exactly the same as the ones on the original MB map!)
This expansions deals about a hypothetical conflict in the Middle East in the late 1980s. The packages includes a new map and a new rulebook.
This expansion is released by Peak Games. It consists of a rules book and a sheet of counters.
Skips huge A&A map: WWII - the
complete game
This expansions was commercially available (datamatic.com/skip/skip_pg1.htm). But now Skip is giving it way for free!! Download the map here (skip_map_final.cdr). You need CorelDraw 8 to print this map.
World War II in the West (by Eric Grenier)
This Axis and Allies expansion features a hex based map.
ImpGames (East&West and The Great War)![]()
IMP Games has released an expansion about a
post-WWII conflict between the Western countries and Communist states: East&West.
At this moment the World War I game The Great War only exists as MapView module.
Bells of War (SillySpace)
This is an area based WWII game. One to seven players, set in Europe. Strictly speaking this is not an A&A expansion. It is a stand-alone game.
ConquestGaming released two
expansions for Axis and Allies: Operation Barbarossa and Conquest of the
Pacific. Both are area based. Operation Barbarossa is a two to four player game it
deals about the German attack on the USSR in 1941. Conquest of the Pacific covers the war
between the United States and Japan.
Strictly speaking both are not A&A expansions, but stand-alone games.
A&A: Enemy at the Horizon
(BBG)
This expansion features a 12 pages rulebook and 40 new plastic playing pieces. It adds new units - destroyers, commandos and artillery. It also includes new rules for existing units. This is a link to a review by thrasher.
Ralph has released several expansions: two sets of cards for use with the game (GeoPolitics and Weather) and Supply Tokens. He also released three new A&A maps: a new 1942 map, a NATO vs. Warsaw Pact map and a 'Barbarossa' map; and one A&A Europe map (Large 1941 Map).
Max's Advanced Rules Volume I & II
Stratamax has released two books with new rules. Volume one includes alternate victory conditions and 20 optional rules including paratroopers, Kamikazes, additional technological breakthroughs, etc. Volume two includes some other additional rules that haven't been playtested very well
