Welcome!
Welcome to thrasher's Axis and
Allies site at The Wargamer! This page features loads of information about
the board game Axis and Allies. The original Axis and Allies game is a board game
that recreates the events of WorldWar II. It starts right after the attack at Pearl
Harbor.
Axis and Allies Europe and Axis and Allies Pacific
cover the Second World War in greater detail in their respective theatres. All three
A&A games are area based and contain plastic playing pieces.
This site contains lots of house rules for Axis and Allies, These rules vary
from simple modifications of one ormore rules to more complex sets of rules. This site
also contains some new scenarios for the game. Start
the game in 1939 or 1941. Or create different alliances in a very different time period.
The game of Axis and Allies has seen some commercial
expansions emerge. Some expansions only provide you with new rules. Other expansions
add new plastic playing pieces and/or a new map to the game. MB will release a game called
Axis and Allies Europe in 2000.
Another part of this site deals with the history of the game. The predecessor of the MB
game by Nova Games and the first
edition rules are both discussed.
Finally this site provides you with links to other Axis and Allies pages on the Net. This list includes links to more than 70 pages. The pages are briefly
described.
As you know the the A&A CD ROM has arrived. Unfortunately it contains a lot of
bugs. A full review of the game will appear on this page soon...
