Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far lets you take command of soldiers during one of the most ambitious campaigns of World War II: Operation Market Garden. The plan called for three divisions of Allied paratroopers to drop behind enemy lines into Holland. These troops were instructed to take key bridges and locations along a 60 mile route from Eindhoven to Arnhem and hold these points until the British XXX Corps armored division could catch up to them.

Play as the Allies or the Axis powers controlling all aspects of the campaign, from allocating which troops are used in each battle to directly commanding your men in real-time on the battlefield. Battle for control of over 33 fully 3-D rendered maps using over 130 realistically modeled infantry and vehicles, including assault units and flame-throwing tanks. However, your men will not blindly follow your orders, they have minds of their own, they could at any moment surrender to enemy forces.
