February 16th: Well, a full, gory details review, with lots of great screen shots is now available for Close Combat III. - MRK January 15th: Michael is busy with exams, so we've taken over in his absence. The biggest news right now is that the demo of Close Combat III is now available. Additionally, for those of you who already have a beta or gold version, a Close Combat III scenario has been posted in our Scenario Archive. Simply press the "Microsoft" button once you get there. Finally, based on our incredible experience with both the beta version and the final gold version, we awarded Close Combat III with the Wargamer Award for Excellence. It's simply that good! - MRK December 22nd: Happly Holidays, everyone. I have recieved my beta copy of Close Combat III, and despite the bugs that come with betas, I have had a blast these couple of days. I have a preview up in the Supply Depot, so take a look. Also, I will soon be annoucing a Close Combat II tournament with hopefully the grand prize being a copy of Close Combat III autographed by the designers. Stay tuned for further info. December 15th: I have added more onto the Beta FAQ. I still have not recieved my copy of the press beta. I'll have to bug 'em again. Meanwhile, you can take a look at new screen shots on the Microsoft website at http://www.microsoft.com/games/closecombat/. December 8th: The folks down at The Close Combat 2 Center were kind enough to give me a beta FAQ by the beta testers. It is now posted on The Wargamer and can be found in the supply depot. November 22nd: The Command Post goes live. Since The Wargamer has not yet recieved its beta copy of Close Combat III, our information is still sketchy. However, once I have recived the beta, you can expect a very detailed report on what you can expect from the game. For now, you can take a look at what Tim Maushardt, a member of The Wargamer staff, had to say about Close Combat III on The Wargamer at E3. |
