Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord [CMBO] is a turn based 3D wargame set after the invasion of Normandy featuring infantry, vehicles, and armor of all participating forces. The game has revolutionized wargaming and quickly built up a devoted following of wargamers around the world. CMBO is a perfect virtual wargaming environment which allows the gamer to recreate every battle after D-day with stunning realism. This trait spurred wargamers around the world to create MODS -- graphical and technical modifications of the CMBO engine.

I decided to add my own touches to the game and with the help of some friends moved the game from Europe to the desert, the mod Desert Fox Desert Rats was created. With Fading Hopes I have taken the game to the Blitzkrieg era of 1939 Poland and 1940 France. Then came the muddy steppes of Russia, and soon enough the forgotten island hopping on the Pacific. Everything from sounds to terrain, vehicles and graphical interface was changed.

Each mod is complete with infantry and vehicle bmp changes and carefully chosen and designed scenarios aimed to enhance your gaming experience. Simply place the associated files into either the bmp, wav, or scenario folders in your game folder and let your new CMBO mods take you to the front again.

At this moment, there are three of four mods ready for you. Many people around the world helped me with these, I could never have done it without them. We hope you enjoy the mods and the scenarios at least as much as we enjoyed creating them.
