Nice article but I do consider VI a significant improvement over V, if nor IV. Thanx, Bis. I never thought about it that way, actually. In some ways it's harder -- the ZoC restrictions,. e.g. -- while taking cities is easier. The Formations make it far easier vs. civs without them yet... Kind of a ...

Uhhh... "HMS" = "Herr Meister Seeboot"? :/ "Marulken" = Anglerfish in Swedish -- the team is based in Sweden -- but that's still an odd name for a WWII German u-boat, for sure! Sounds too complicated for this old fart, too, so I'll stick with Silent Service. <!-- s:D --...

This game really is the apogee of which I can call the intermediary genre of WW2 wargaming, old Panzer General series being an example. It is well worth the money invested. Although I am a bit disappointed that it isn't released on Steam. Hi, All American, I will see what I can find out re: a Steam...

Re:

Greetings, Does this game have a NATO style counter option? I don't care for the miniature style. Thanks Indeed it does -- you can find screenshots of them in various places, including my feature http://www.wargamer.com/news/strategic-command-pre-release-special-naval-combat/ a couple of weeks ago ...

Re:

I have Just gotten this one...I like the way it plays...but a Few bugs are really putting the hurt on the game. The biggest one is where russian units can pull out of a contested hex(Battle/Enemy units in same hex)and travel 3 hexes by rail. I do not know how many times I have broken thru the enemy...

ACK! "burned to ashes"!?

My body threatens to collapse into a quivering mess of disconnected bones at the very thought! :(

My deepest condolences, Bill!
