Review: Steam Squad

Say what you will about wargaming and the strategy genre as a whole; but in my experience at least you pretty much know what you’ll be getting.

We did :) If you click on the Steam symbol at the bottom of the review it takes you to the Steam store page.

I was actually wondering what exactly makes the X-COM feel for other players, as I am developing a game trying to convey it in a medieval fantasy setting.
What makes the game comparable to X-COM to you, apart from the lethality of the combat?
The uncertainty (ie not knowing whether he will be ambushed when one soldier move)? The ruleset?
