Can anyone give me some tips for running the V4V series under Windows XP? I've tried every setting possible and it just comes up in a blurred screen. Or do I just have to rig up my old 98 desktop again and play on that?[&

Try out DOSbox. http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/ Also download a windows frontend like this to make DOSbos easier to manage. http://members.home.nl/mabus/ Will help you play many many old favourite games under XP in no time.

It sounds like your graphics capabilities might be too fast for the game. Try going to Control Panel>
isplay>Setttings>Advanced>Troubleshoot and lower the hardware acceleration down from Full to None.

DOSBox is great. There is one trick you should now: you can adjust the emulation speed with the function keys (cannot remember which ones, look it up in the documentation). Some games require that you set this to lower or higher than the default. I have managed to run quite a few DOS games on it: Dragon Wars, Age of Rifles, Panzer General.

Thanks for the tips guys, dosbaox and Dfend seem to do the trick, I just have one problem now with it running on full screen, the mouse dissappears. and I can't run it, other than in a smaller screen.[&o]
