Clearly, you have not experienced Evil Spock. He makes Vader/Anakin look like a confused teenage girlie who isn't sure of his, shall we say, identity yet.

Clearly not Evil Spock at his most evil, still way more evil than confused Ani, but I am rushed for time. I have something better to do with my Friday nights.

I think we've gone over this before, but does it have a Canadian sitting in the Captain's chair?
Hell, even Annie Skywalker is a Canadian. Maybe if you go with Lorne Greene you might have a fighting chance.

And then there is Wing Commander
Stargate Command. Jack O'Neill is the best
Matthew 25:14-30. Jesus tells that it is not sufficient merely to maintain things as they are. Those who await should make good use of the gifts that God has provided them.

Status : Online | A Trekkie friend of mine always used to point out that Trek shielding is way more powerful and that the laser is an antiquated weapon in Star Trek... blah blah blah. Thank God for the stardestroyer.net link, whoever posted that. Now I have something to shoot back with.
I'd just like to mention that, in their glory days, Star Wars games kicked the living crap out of anything that ever bore the Star Trek moniker. TIE Fighter, anyone? X-Wing Alliance? Jedi Knight?
Phasers, let's face it, just aren't cool. Boring weapons, firing from ridiculous looking ships. Star Trek ground warfare... depressing when it happens. Anyone who has ever had to watch Riker lumber from boulder to boulder knows my pain.
Having flown simulated missions against Imperial Star Destroyers, I'm pretty certain that a Star Destroyer could immolate the Enterprise. I know for fact it's just a more impressive concept. The reason Star Wars could beat up on Star Trek boils down to this: Star Wars, when it goes to war, at least looks like it's trying. And the results are at least fun.
Now, if you gentlemen will excuse me, I need to finish taping my eyeglasses back together and writing a backstory on my twelfth-level half-elf bard...

Thank God for the stardestroyer.net link
Yes, thank God that someone has compiled highly scientific data on the 'canon' of Star Wars and computed how many gigawatts of energy these little plastic models can generate. [8|] Why aren't we using them to avert the energy crisis then?
I will refrain from a contest of "mine has this much" and retorting with "oh yeah mine is bigger and better." The website was done by a Canadian (of whom I am clearly ashamed), an engineering student from Waterloo, a prize bunch of nerds if there ever was one.
I cannot speak from an engineering point of view, but as a biologist I can definitely say the Federation has the Empire beaten in reproduction. Kissing your sister and killing your pregnant wife are not effective reproductive strategies and George Lucas' scripts are definitely not conducive to romance. The randiness of Star Trek is self-evident.
Well, even if the Federation fails to outbreed the Empire, I will sleep better knowing there are some amongst us at wargamer.com who have flown simulated missions against Star Destroyers.
Oh, and one more thing set phasers to disentegrate![:'(]

I don't see why you'd be ashamed. This website is the only useful thing to come out of Canada besides Crown Royal and "Due South".
Oh, and about the phaser. There's one thing I've always loved in Star Trek, and it happens whenever they encounter some unidentified, but dangerous, space thingy:
"Fire phasers!"
"Phasers have no effect, Captain."
"Fire phasers, full power!" (In other words, try.)
"Our phasers have no effect, Captain."
You have to love a sci-fi weapon that seems uniquely incapable of functioning as a weapon. Maybe if they somehow harnessed the power of their "randiness", the Federation could win a fight.
And stay away from my nerd trophy.
