You know that you have arrived as a website when; ...Blizzard advertises on it. Congrats to you all.[sm=229031_thewave.gif]

On the otherhand, advertising for World of Warcraft may give some the wrong impression about what we are all about here... Oh well, money talks...[

hey, MMORPG fan or not (I'm not) - that's a superlative product. In a way I think advertising poor games could be worse than advertising games that deviate somewhat from the target audience.

I agree with your sentiments...and I understand (but not agree with JH) what the earlier comment was about. My point is that you are judged by the company you keep - and the advertisers you attract and it speaks very well for the Owner/operators (and the clientelle, so take a bow JH) of this website.

At least The Wargamer doesn't seem to advertise for crappy games in the same way as, for example, Gamespy. It's so funny when I pass a TMNT advertisement for PSP/Nintendo DS whilst the site loads and find a review that gives the game 1 star (out of 5) or the like, even though TMNT had fairly good reviews on other platforms.
may give some the wrong impression about what we are all about here...
You mean like reviewing a soccer game?

Alright...everybody friggin chill out...I was just making a point to play Devil's Advocate. When have I ever cared what anybody thinks about anything? You think I'd actually give a rats a$$ if a new lurker showed up, saw an ad for World of Warcraft and left because of it? PA-LEEEASE! [:-] Besides, I actually had a subscription to World of WArcraft for a good 4 or 5 months and was absolutely hooked...I'm over the addiction now, but I did need to check myself into an out-patient program to get over it...

WOW is a game I've always wanted to play and will never play, nor install, nor watch anyone else play because it will be the end of me. Recognizing one's critical flaws is the first step in overcoming them... [

I imagine they get tired of eating beans and rice, with Blizzard advertising with them now they can move up to canned sardines and crackers.
Clear their desk, clear their house, clear everything they've got then tell them to clear out.
