You should go to the Gamesquad forum for Distant Guns to see more forum activity for this game.

Status : Offline | I've recently rediscovered DG and am trying out new campaign strategies, particularly after toying with the formation features. Its a pretty nifty game, really. Its not just a novelty anymore. Getting ready to begin posting a DG AAR called "The Bear and the Blossom" on my AAR website.
Thanks for the forum link. I've been checking the Storm Eagle Studios website from time to time and see nothing there.

You want to tell that to Microsoft too? Cant tell you how many "Malicious Software Tools" and other updates have been downloaded years after the XP OS was released...

Status : Online | Their patching is a bit odd as well. Frequently they will fix the main issue everyone has identified, but then the new patch will actually break something else that worked fine before. Consequently we have 50 patches and we still need more as now they have broken the torpedo ranges.
I always thought it was a shame they never set up a forum on the main Stormeagle website. It would have given all the players a real home rather than having to move around a detached forum like the Strategyzone one which then move to Gamesquad. No-one really posts on the main forum anymore and the game feels pretty much dead in terms of the player community and interaction.

I vehemently disagree. I applaud their quick responses and frequent patches. I think it far superior to waiting on "comprehensive" patches. Give me a new patch every day, if that is what it takes.

Status : Offline | I am still waiting to hear back on my DG license transfer e-mail that I sent them last week. [] Kinda weird, because the first time I e-mailed them, back when DG was first released, I heard back within a day. Is no one minding the DG store these days?
I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

Also I emailed them for my license to distant guns as well as I got a new PC and they replied within 2 days I think. So they are checking their support emails.

Status : Offline | DG lost my interest after about two weeks. Then I booted it up one night about six months later and (after dl'd about a dozen patches) tried the campaign out. The campaign actually worked, and then I tinkered with formations, and rather than trying to seek a decisive battle and grow bored quickly, I actually got around to having fun implementing a consistent strategy.
I still have issue with the auto-resolve, which can take forever for the most pointless encounters. Also, I wish I was given the option at auto-resolve whether I would like it to end with my ships fleeing or attacking. I've had plenty of auto-resolves where my destroyers foolishly attack a superior fleet and get smashed without even damaging the enemy.
