I'd really like a nice Roman Empire era strategy game from them! Maybe they'll do that.

But then again....

... Talk on the Paradox boards suggest a possible Squad Leader game, as they hold the rights. My personal guess is Victoria 2.

Status : Online | Their version of Diplomacy was simply awful and they are not planning for a Diplomacy 2 because of a third party intervention. This is good news because they do not deserve to touch this game again....if you wish to read their BS death-knell communication on Diplomacy, go here:

They believe three minor patches to repair a crappy game was good support? Give me a freakin' break.....

There won't be a Victoria 2 because Johan said so. He said they would never made another game like Victoria again. Victoria had dismal sales, reached an all time low of like 99 cents very soon after release and there just wasn't any profit in this dismal game. Worst game ever released by Paradox to date except maybe that crown one.

Seriously though, I think they already broke that longstanding tradition with EUIII.
They must have planned to use the Squad Leader license in some way, so that might be a good bet. Much as I like the Paradox line, I'm not entirely sure they are the best guys to do a Squad Leader game...but we'll see, if/when they do something with the license...

Can you back this up with any proof? Can you link to the thread Johan said this? Its the first I've heard Victoria discribed as dismal. Why would they have released Revolutions if it was so bad? Are you sure your not thinking of Diplomacy? Now that was bad, and Paradox have said they won't be touching it again.

I don't need to back it up with proof. If you want to see it go look it up on the Paradox forums or just ask around over there. Johan has commented more than once about Victoria and it's dismal sales over there. Revolutions was merely an expansion, not a sequel. Won't be any Victoria 2 sorry, game suked, sales suked, get used to it.[]

And the winner is..............Europa Universalis: Rome
Punic Wars to the end of the Republic.
So their next "Grand Announcement" will probably be the "Imperial Rome" expansion pack.
Somebody wake me when there's really some news.
