This is the 25th anniversary of the release of the iconic techno-thriller, "Red Storm Rising". NATO and PACT are poised for combat in this remake of Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising".
NATO has put together a small highly trained team of deep strike specialists to drop the Elbe bridges along the East German border and thereby slow down the Soviet advance.
In deep secrecy, the brand new F-19A Stealth fighter has been pushed into service to perform this mission.
Could you post a scenario play-through where you use the "missions" feature of the game? I noticed that you haven't used that feature in? any of your scenario tutorials yet (except for the tutorial of course). Thanks.

I find very difficult to play this scen from USA side, only 4 F-15´s a pair of Orions and a DDG are quickly attacked and burned by lots of planes that seem to come from coastal Venezuela air bases. I set the DDG to Puerto La Cruz and launch a P3 and then F-15´s to attack enemy planes flying near my ship, but they are quickly shot down. Any ideas ??

Question about the AI: How come the are so generous with their emitting radar? This becomes especially clear in the dawn patrol scenario where it seems almost to easy(note seems, im not saying it is..). If they have link you would expect only one of the contacts to radiate and just link the information over to the others.

In further response to a question posed by GorduzBackstabber, another video After-Action Report for Dawn Patrol (NATO) [MP] between HermanH and MartinB has been added the YouTubeHarpoon for Dummies channel to show how a human player might approach EmCon in the same tactical situation from the other side.
another video After-Action Report for Dawn Patrol round II (USSR) [MP] between HermanH and MartinB has been added the YouTubeHarpoon for Dummies channel. This time, MartinB and HermanH have switched sides and both made video recordings of the battle. Viewers can watch both sides of the same battle and see what the respective commanders were thinking at the same point in time during the action. Hope to see Martin's matching video soon. Normally, we would just use ANW's VCR function. Unfortunately, it currently results in a Crash to Desktop.

Some weeks ago, a major undersea earthquake, followed by a large tsunami, wrought severe damage in the South Pacific nation of Vanuatu, leaving thousands homeless. An international effort to provide disaster relieve was led in particular by Australia and France, both having deployed naval and air force contingents to the area in the aftermath. The stress of the disaster and resulting political instability in the area was intensified by the startling discovery of serious radiological contamination in the tidal zones where the tsunami had come ashore. Analysis soon revealed that the contamination was linked to ultra-secret nuclear weapons testing by the French in New Caledonia; testing which had only recently resumed in clear contravention of international treaty. A referendum on the question of independence in New Caledonia was only days away and news of the French indiscretion (at the expense of the region's ecology) was spreading like a new tidal wave. France became desperate to both retain control of the territory and to hide evidence of their transgression.

However, several vessels are believed to have escaped and are attempting to set up a new government-in-exile. The United States suffers from virtual economic ruin and has stayed out of the conflict. The Canadians have agreed to grant the rag-tag flotilla asylum, but only if they can reach Canadian shores.

Two terrorist attacks in Mexico City, which claimed the lives of 37 people, are blamed on radicals based in Colombia. The terrorist base has been located, but Colombia has refused to take action against the terrorists. No one is entirely sure why, but some believe that Colombian officials are concerned about reprisals.
Colombia has declared it will not tolerate a violation of its sovereignty; even in pursuit of terrorists. As one member of the Colombian government said, "These criminals are on Colombian soil and we will deal with them, when, and how we see fit."
Mexico has grown weary of waiting for the Colombians to act. They have moved ships and troops into the region and are preparing to attack the terrorist base. In addition, the United States, which has called for a U.N. condemnation of Colombia for its failure to apprehend the terrorists, has offered support to Mexico.

The Colombian Navy is in a phase of modernisation. Several advanced patrol craft are on the drawing board, but its main sea-going frigates are aging. As a stopgap, Colombia has accepted transfer of a 27-year old South Korean Corvette.
Long exposure of Exocet missile canisters to tropical conditions has caused a spectacular explosion in the Ammunition Dump in Cartagena. For the time being, all Exocets have been de-certified and French technicians are working on them.
Venezuela's navy has similar worries. Its Lupo-class frigates have been in service for 30 years and are spending long periods in maintenance. New Spanish-built OPVs and Corvettes have joined the fleet, but funding shortages made them prepared for, but not carrying, advanced SSMs and SAM-systems.
The scenario author set up the sides that maybe played by humans. If a scenario is set up with one side as the sub, one side as the ship, and the scenario designer allows the player(s) to select either side, then that scenario can be played in Multi-player sessions. Some scenarios only have one side playable (either the sub or the ship).
There are many PlayersDB scenarios set up with ships vs. subs. Some examples are:
