First of all, a big thanks to Vic for a great game! I loved the demo and shared the link with a few gamer friends. To a man they loved the TBS and CCG part of the game but were stumped by the supply system. After some discussion I found that the distinction between COLLECTION and GENERATION was being lost. Long-story-short, collectors collect where there are untapped resources and generation cards generate without need of resources. Basically a base with the collection ability will not collect on hexes with no resources, and generating cards are wasted on resource hexes. This may seem beyond obvious, alas, apparently not. With that said, I have some questions on collecting resources on some of the better hexes like "the crater 3h,3s,3e,3t" or "ghost town 4s,4e,4t." As I see it, you can collect all tier-1 resources with a base. Then you can collect all tier-2 resources with extractors. Finally you can collect SOME tier-3 resources with facility cards and base upgrades. I say "some" because the collecting facilities change from faction to faction (i.e. some academies have RC:1H, and some do not. Some labs have RC:1T and some do not, etc...) I don't seem to be able to upgrade extractors or deploy identical facility cards to the same base, so how can ALL tier-3 be collected, let alone ANY tier-4 resources? My point is that when you see a juicy hex with 3rd and even 4th tier resources you may be strategically inclined to fight for it, but why take on that fight if you cannot get consistent benefits beyond 2nd tier resources? Noob bait, upcoming features, undiscovered features? Please share your thoughts. Bolter

Mobile Harvesters should help I still find I have a handful of 'wasted' resources left on the map in most games.

Yeah, multiple mobile harvesters are the only way to fully take advantage of some of these hexes. Glad you've turned on more people as well, I'm currently working on my brother and a nephew. [

Thanks for the replies. I was afraid that was the case because I only use scavanger teams for the mutant faction, but I dont usually include mobile collectors on my decks. I may have to rethink that if they do stack. Resources are even more precious when playing wastelands. Specially if Kabaagh shows up and starts shaking you down X(

Oooo, good thing to know, Scavenger Collecters will occasionally turn up resources even in resourceless hexes.

Yeah, 4 icons are going to only be extractable with the help of a mobile collector... if you plan it right you can grab 3 humans or tech for most factions and 3 materials for the machines. The Ghost Town is really just there to taunt you [
] Actually, it's the relic of an earlier design where resources were much more abundent. Even now on the Uncommon and Common settings given the right conditions you can end up awash in resources by turn 30.

It's hard for players to know exactly what is extracted, the game lacks some clear on map info about it. With that there would be much less misunderstanding of the system imho.

I find that if I go to the Player's tab, before and after I deploy a collector I get a pretty good idea of what I am collecting.
