That's excellent. You should tape that and post it here Smuck.

I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

Tomas just returned from Walter Reed, his ANC is 777 so we are back on track with his treatment. Tonight he is attending the official kickoff for the walk this year.

A conservative guess is that you guys have given over $600.00 USD this year to Tomas' walk.           He is of the feeling that he can only raise money if I am with him. I am on travel, I promised him that he should be able to raise 37% before I returned home.....yes, none of this makes sence but as a parent with a cancer kid I can tell you that nothing makes sense. If he makes the 37% before I get home, he will shoot the M-4 type carbine, I posted the same type of message on another board.           If anyone is holding out until the last couple weeks, I ask that you give now, it will help him mentally. Yes, I drive the fund raising but no kidding, he is my motivation and if he survives this journey, I want him to be a positive drive for humanity when he is an adult. We are saving funds, our family will donate $750 at the beginning of October. So far we have given just under $200.00 USD this year. For those that are wondering, we are not comfortable, I lack the education to be comfortable our giving to this cause does limit us. We keep promising ourselves that maybe next year we will take a vacation.

September is National Childhood Cancer awareness month.           Hello all;           Here's an update:           Tomas is sitting at 35% of his goal with 48 days until he leads his team on the walk. There has been a couple of local business' that were thinking about sponsoring but they weren't able to. He and his little sister have walked door to door to a little over 50 different houses and have sold lemonade.           This is his last year leading the team while he is actively in treatment, if all goes well, in November he will take his last chemotherapy and have the internal port removed in March. It would be great if he could achieve 'superstar status' in his fund raising efforts the month before he completes his 3 year 2 month treatment.           Any help, any ideas that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.           http://pages.lightthenight.org/va/Frdrcksb10/TeamTomas           S/F

I was talking to both Anna and Tomas today while I was taking them to school. They pointed out that October is going to be the best month ever; last spinal tap on the 1st, last clinic visit on the 29th, on the 18th a 2 mile walk for light the night, 30th a 1 mile run for Health, and the 31st....a 200 mile trick or treat.           S/A, no way are they going to trick or treat for 200 miles.

Only 28 days until Tomas leads his team. If you can pass this on to your friends, he would greatly appreciate it.         [link=http://pages.lightthenight.org/va/Frdrcksb10/TeamTomas]http://pages.lighttheni.../va/Frdrcksb10/TeamTomas[/link]         Off topic of the Light The Night walk, he signed up for the USMC Healthy Kids Fun Run at the Pentagon on the 30th.         [link=http://www.marinemarathon.com/Weeken...s/kids_run.htm]http://www.marinemarath.../Weeken...s/kids_run.htm[/link]         Its the day after his last in treatment clinic visit where he will get the last injection of vincrisitine to his heart via his port.

Well done Tomas![
]           @Smuck[
]     This is an extract of the email I tried sending you a while back - for some reason your ISP is not passing emails through - can you send me one to see if we can re-establish the link??           "BBC 6 O'clock news:           [link]http://www.leukaemiabusters.org.uk/pages/home.aspx[/link]           They are claiming up to 100% success in destroying leukaemia cells using a plant extract (Gypsophila) in recent experiments.           According to the news report they are currently attending and demonstrating at a Cancer Research convention in Washington DC.           http://www.aacr.org/hom...annual-meeting-2010.aspx           I hope this is of help/interest."

We are back home from Walter Reed. Tomas ANC came in at 1000 and he had his 23rd and final spinal tap......now for the 5 day steroid pulse to begin.......           He doesn't know this yet but before we kick off the walk on the 16th, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society is going to present him with a trophy to mark the total amount of donations that he raised while in treatment....it should be somewhere over $25,000.00.

Tomas is 12 days away from leading his team, he has raised 65% of his goal. He is currently in second place for Virginia, about $320.00 behind the first place team.         Any help would be greatly appreciated.           http://pages.lightthenight.org/va/Frdrcksb10/TeamTomas           Our immediate family has contributed $569, this doesn't include Tomas' door to door activities and his lemonade sale.           Anyone / company wanna match our family?

4 days until Tomas leads us on the walk.           Tomas is sitting at 72% of his goal. If you know of anyone that might be willing to donate, please forward this email to them. It would be great if he could actually make his goal for this year, his final year in treatment.         So far, during his treatment which began in September 2007, he has raised a little over $25,000.00.           http://pages.lightthenight.org/va/Frdrcksb10/TeamTomas
