My problem: I have a blue backround with black letters. Now I want to make the blue backround transparent, to get only the letters? How can I accomplish this?

I think the easiest way is to change the image mode to "indexed color" , select "Export"->"Gif89a export" and select the blue color as transparent with the eyedropper tool and then save it as gif. (If you have Photoshop 6 or later, youŽll have to copy the said plugin from the original CD's "goodies" folder to the "plugins" folder on your installed Photoshop directory") Can of course do it with the alpha channels and whatnot too. Oh well, I don't know how it works with all of the finesses of CC mapmaking, but here's my 5 cents anyway
