Status : Online | When I placed all the GJS maps into the CC5 maps folder I got two prompts about overwriting the "index mpi files" and "Sauvuer text documents." I chose no.
Do I want to overwrite these or not?
It works so far. Would like to avoid a crash several days down the road because I should have overwritten these things and didn't.
Thanx.

With a seperate install of GJS it should not cause problems, but with thw zip it will.

There are 2 maps that are not there (Carpiquet and Buron).
Would it be possible to have these maps available on this site????
Thanks.

The infantry seems to survive very well against small arms fire when partly concealed, but seem to drop like flies when running into open MG fire (killer sound by the way!). The battles are brutal, bloody, painful and to the last bullet! Visibily issues are just on the spot!
Also, playing as Germans (hero) against AI (recruit) is much more enjoyable than in the original, where I basically just managed to stand and fight in the same few beach maps (which are like TOTALLY boring now) - not only are there FABULOUS new maps, but you actually need to do some firefighting maneuvers with the reserves, and actually get to exercise some strategic thinking!
Aah...now, you guys making Stalingrad will have to try even harder, and then we can all be happily spoiled rotten!
One more time, can't thank you enough, guys! What with the new maps and all, the feeling is totally unique and complete in itself - I'd pay normal retail price for this mod any day.

Atilla is updating the plugin as we speak so to avoid confusion I took the old one off till further notice.

Good mod. I'd slap the much coveted CSLF Seal of Approval on this one, but the place where I uploaded the seal is gone.
Thx for the mod. Very grateful.

Thanx. Keep in mind I'm no computer guru. The method I used to put the GJS maps in the folder was to unzip all the individual maps into a new folder, then use "select all" and drag and drop the whole unzipped contents of that folder into the CC5 maps folder. That when I got those two messages, and selected "no" to the overwrited prompts. The original CC5 maps are still in the folder, too.
I also had to copy the videos from the data folder of the CD to the SSI/Close Combat folder, and create a shortcut from the GJS icon in the Close Combat folder to the desktop. All with real time advice from C_S on MSN Messenger. I'm running the latest version of Window XP.
Nice job. Now I can play as the Germans and not feel so bad about slaughtering the allies.

Air support--there are rare instances when the yellow smoke will billow and NO plane will follow. I have not been able to sort this out, and it doesn't happen often, so might as well figure it's a matter of miscommunication between your mouse and your "FOO" Forward Obersver.
Naval Artillery--there are 3 strikes available each round the first week of the campaign--enough to cover all the beaches well. H2H use of naval barrage MIGHT cause a crash--this is a bug left over from CC5. It's up to the players involved, and Atilla and I have found that after June 6th, he has had no problem pulverizing my poor sprites with naval barrage.
Thanks for all the comments and feedbacks, please keep 'em coming.

You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once.

The Hottot map currently hosted at the GJS site doesn't have these included.
For a seperate install of GJS these files would not be a problem anyway.
