I keep typing in different things like "Risen" for example, looking for information, so I don't have to BORE you guys to death with redundant questions, but my searches always come up with zip.           Another example, I typed Space Empires, and checked the box for less precise match.  I got zip.  Someone here has written about Space Empires series of games I would assume.           So what am I doing wrong when I search these forums for information.           Thanks for the help.

I think the search function on the forum is buggered. Search phrase Total War, forum General Computer Gaming, within 1 year nothing. Search phrase King Arthur, forum General Computer Gaming, within 1 year nothing. Which is of course total crap.

You can always search the site through Google by typing in, for example: risen site:www.wargamer.com

That gives 220 hits for King Arthur 12,900 for Total War

I have the same issues.  It used to work so not sure what happened, but kind of frustrating to find stuff you knew was already talked about.

It's been broken for a long time. Sorry for that.

I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

to narrow the searches down add /forum to the end of the www.wargamer.com, like this (search query) site:www.wargamer.com/forum.  Then click on the advanced search link to the right of the search box and select a date range.  This should give you back a more controlled SERP. Beldar

Did you know that no one has used the word "the" in the last month? Fascinating.

I remember doing searches that worked. I think it stopped when the new design (forum Software?) got put in place. Maybe its the software, maybe its the boolean logic. It defaults to search "Both" topic and subject. To a computer both means And. What most people want is either which is Or to a computer. Never bothered to test it.
