I have designed, over the last 29 years, what I think is the ultimate recreation of the second world war. The battles are resolved as in real life, by numbers, conditions, and teamwork.
WW2 - The Big One is a FREE pbem game now recruiting. Teams of players compete on strategic, operational, and tactical levels. There is action on land, sea, and in the air. There is diplomacy, production, research, espionage, and teamwork.
Get a free download of the rules, and lets go to war!

Writer, I get the above message every time I try to download eBook and Big Red One. I frequently have computer problems associated with the 'loose nut' in the swivel chair behind the keyboard-- so it could just be me. I WANT to read. I may like to play the wargame ! Check your justclick email, bitte-- I sent you a REAL-TIME current writers wargame ! Pop some muzzle action APERS into the Elephant Grass if you want to help find out which Writer's Sweat Shop rats MAY jump-ship. Merry Christmas !
Thanks for the wargame.

He wrote the following about his PBEM war game, "I'd like to point out two things: the link that you included is to my book web site, which doesn't link to the wargame at all; and the wargame is about the whole war. Your text indicates Big Red One, which is misleading."
I've not yet obtained these files from File Planet, but I have tried-- my computer takes a lot of Online flak because I'm 'just average' and always shoot my mouth-off, hence it is likely that my download issues are related to my 'street-level' PC security. If Online and on-the-ground nut-case chuckle head OpFor thought USAF AF/PAK Predator optical REECE was a no-brainer intercept at about USD fiat $26.00-- I'm not even as secure as USAF Predator drones, but I'm not going to sharpen my pencil because I just love to play wargames and in lieu of Recon by Fire, I love passive Fire Observation. Talk about your Tactics Three/PanzerBlitz Panzer Bush, LOL...
(I may not be very computer smart, but at least I'm staying away from Online porn virtual THREAT-- they are a hard drive game killer that cannot even be partitioned by CONUS Raytheon expert, IMO.)[/align]

"Thanks for the tip. I now have 3 download sites, and a fixed fileplanet link. I have downloaded from them all without problem...I've seen visits to the game site skyrocket..."

Status : Offline | This is a very detailed play by email wargame. Turns are 11 days = 1 game month. Players take roles as leaders, generals, and admirals and work on either the Allied or Axis side to fight the war.
There are three levels to the game and multiple types of activity. On the Strategic level, players are national leaders and deal with diplomacy, espionage, production, research, and planning the war. The Operational level is where the plans become movement of land, sea, and air units. OP commanders issue the movement orders and when that movement results in contact with the enemy, it is the Tactical level players who fight the battles. NO dice are used and no random number generating schemes. Results are based on conditions, strength of forces, and player decisions.
The game is free to play and the rules are a free download. Everything is done via email.
We are recruiting high-level command positions now for a new game beginning very soon. (April 2010)

There are a few serious games that are intended for the men who want a deep, multi-layered, complex, thinking man's game. This game is one of them. It is not for everyone. Do you have what it takes? If the games you have been playing have left you unsatisfied, take a look at this.

We are recruiting now. This huge game will need players ongoing with the war expanding.

Remember the words to the song of the "Green Berets"? "One hundred men will test today, but only 3 win the green beret."
Well that's how it is with this game. It isn't for everyone. You need to be a dedicated war game with a good imagination, cause there ain't no animations. You need to like WW2 history, cause this game is the whole war. You need to be a self-starter who can take the initiative, cause this game only gives you the tools. You have to pick them up and go forth. You need to be a leader, cause this game isn't for guys without initiative.
This game is so big it had to be broken up into 9 manuals, just so not to overwhelm the newbie hopefuls.

Free but addictive.

It appears you got the game files.
For everyone: New game started Aug 24, 2010 and players are needed.
No longer using Fileplanet for files. Links work fine. Get rules from the game web site. Worth a visit, worth playing.

How does replying to a post in my own thread constitute any violation?
