The goal of this meeting will be to have multiple two vs two games and hopefully some four vs four games. Before you show up make sure you are able to at the very minimum join other CCMT games. It is recommended that you open your firewall ports and sort any connection issues out prior to committing to a game. Visit our tech support guide for port info. This meeting will take place on Hamachi in the room "Close Combat Modern Tactics" the password is "ccs" just like the others. Only join this channel if you are available and able to play.                  As part of my effort to increase online play, the Hamachi Weekend Locator will be up each weekend. The locator will show you who's currently online at Hamachi between the three channels. If you are new to Hamachi and want to join, have a read of our Hamachi Standard Operating Procedures. The procedures are helpful to use in order to give all players a better experience.            [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons//icon_tld.gif[/image] Last month Salhexe released a German Vet Mod. This month his Allied Vet Mod has been added for download. Its a lively vet mod for to play as Allied vs German AI. This was made for 5.50.00   version. This mod is an auto installer. Once the install process is begun, just   click through the default settings and allow an icon to be added on your   desktop. To uninstall go through your Control Panel/Add Remove Programs and   select it. Download the Allied Vet Mod v1.0.                  [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_ccmt.gif[/image] Back in the summer Zon released his CC2 Redux mod for Modern Tactics. This mod is essentially a port of CC2 A Bridge To Far overtop of the Modern Tactics game which will allow CC2 fans to have up to 10 player games. Zon has upgraded the mod and is now available to download. The CC2Redux mod has been updated, there are a number of small bug fixes included with the latest download. Some of the changes are reduced  LOS through buildings and windows, vehicle speeds changed to be on par with the original CC2 and the Puma's main gun has been fixed. As well, Oosterbeek Landing Zone and Veghel Bridge scenarios have been added with new maps. The mod comes as a .ccm plugin. Download CC2 Redux and unzip the mod to C:/Matrix Games/Close Combat - Modern Tactics/plugins/ and install through CCMTSysCon.            [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_war.gif[/image] Nomada_Firefox's Ardennes Offensive mod has been ported to Wacht Am Rhein. Download WaR_AOVetBoB_v1.03_installer.exe. After installing ensure you read the readme.txt file for a list of all changes. The auto installer will place an icon on your desktop. To uninstall go through your Control Panel/Add Remove Programs.                  [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_coi.gif[/image] Matrix has announced a beta patch for Cross of Iron. As usual the patch is only available to Matrix Game's Members Club which you can access from here Member's Club. The patch addresses a number of issues most notably LOS problems, multiplayer connections and muzzle flash issues. For the opening post on the patch you can visit the Matrix Games Forum.                  The Commonwealth summer mod originally made for The Russian Front was converted quite awhile ago to work with Cross of Iron. It's now been added for download here. A bit about the mod, Commonwealth Summer focuses on the British 21st Army   Group's fighting in Normandy from June 6, 1944 until the closing of the   Falaise Gap in late August, 1944. CS features British, Canadian and Polish   forces in a bitter struggle against the German Panzer divisions of   Normandy. You need both the map pack and plugin. Unzip the maps to your /Program Files/Close Combat/Close Combat III/Maps folder, unzip the plugin to /Program Files/Close Combat/Close Combat III/plugins and install through Modswap.                  [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_cc5.gif[/image] RD_DeathDealer has created a sound mod for TRSM v0.981 and GJS v4.4 on par with his previous sound mods. From the readme.txt of the TRSM mod, "All of the small arms sounds are from recordings of the actual weapons firing.   Changes have been made to all three of the voice files to compensate for volume   inconsistencies. Also, many of the sounds in the GGerVox file have been changed.   The focus of this mod is historical realism. To install this submod, unzip the   archive to your /Config Manager/Plugins folder. Ensure TRSM is already   installed. Download CC5_TRSM_DDSoundmod_v0.981_plugin.zip. For the GJS sound mod, place it in the same folder to install. Download CC5_GJS44_DeathSounds_plugin.zip.           The Total Realism Submod by Dima has been upgraded from 0.98 to 0.981. The main changes are to the availability of the Allied Churchill tank, they have been added to specific BGs and removed from others. Armour values for the Crocodile and AVRE have been tweaked. The AVRE 290mm main gun reload time has been changed from 120seconds to 90seconds as well. Dima has included a readme.txt file in the plugin which details each change, please have a read of it.                 [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_cc3.gif[/image] John3 has released a series of eight maps for The Russian Front. These eight new maps are a mixture of winter, steppe and urban areas. To play these maps unzip them into your Close Combat 3 Maps folder and create a scenario with the scenario editor. The new maps are Izyum10, Izyum11, Izyum12, Kharkov11, Kharkov12, Korotch1, Korotch2 and Stalin9. Here are the previews...           [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_izyum10.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_izyum11.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_izyum12.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_kharkv11.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_kharkv12.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_korotch1.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_korotch2.jpg[/image][image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/cc3maps/thumb_stalin9.jpg[/image]           Years ago The Russian Front Commando Mod was created. It has recently resurfaced thanks to Yuma. The Commando War mod (CW-v100.pln) basically gives you a stronger AI to punish and more evenly balanced H2H games. CW is not specifically about commandos but they do exist. Weapon development happens much sooner in this mod as compared to the original game. Zooks and Schrecks appear in early 1942 and JSIIIs and King Tiger II's will appear in 1944. All weapons development peaks in 1944. This gives you a longer opportunity to play with the fancy stuff before the campaign ends. The Russian submod (CWRsHCv1.pln) is a vetmod. Play this submod vs the AI as the Russians, the Germans will prove to be more difficult to destroy. Each side starts as a Major with 15 unit slots available. That will ensure big battles happen on day one. The German submod (CWGsHCv1.pln) is the second vetmod. Play as the Germans vs Russian AI. This will give the Russians an advantage over you. Battles will be five maps in length with 15 days of fighting. Its very similar to the Russian Vetmod. Each of the three plugins has a full readme.txt file with all details. Download CC3_CommandoWar_v1.0_plugins.zip.           [image]http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/images/topics/storyicons/icon_sitenews.gif[/image] There are a few good discussions taking place in the forums right now. The first one is map sizes. What are the advantages and disadvantages of large and small maps? Good points have been made for both. If you have point of view to express, post it in the Map Size Debate thread. The second one worth is debating whether or not the AI deployment should be improved. Currently the AI randomly deploys its troops at the start of battle. This leads to some extremely poor choices in regards to placement of armour and anti-tank guns. Is it worth improving? Visit AI Deployment Issue to weigh in.           Thank you to all the new donators and old donators that keep the money flowing in. The 2009-2010 year is looking to be just as generous as the previous two years. The previous two years CCS was completely payed for by the community! So far for this billing period $750.00 has been raised. That leaves up still short $350 and we have until May of 2010 to make it up. CCS will be upgraded in May to a cheaper server. This new server will have a faster CPU, more RAM and much more bandwidth to offer. The total cost should be less than $900 per year.

Schreck, unless MCI comes up with new requirements, I think it will just be me creating the new WorkBook and scenarios. We'll need it built into the software but not a lot of work involved on the software side of the house.
