I recall reguarly bouncing shots off it with an 88, even from the side, back in beta. Last night I jumped in a couple games, to see the new stuff, and happened into a shootout with one of those (and a couple of his buddies) in my Easy 8. And my 76 was penetrating pretty much every time, though it didn't do a lot of damage per shot to it of course. I'm guessing they eased off on some of the glancing shot bounces?

Since I started playing, I have never had a crew reach 100% to gain special skills since I get new tanks pretty quick and dismiss them. I got from Tier I to Tier 3 (Light, Medium, TD) in one week. Question is when do I start ramping up the crew. And do you retrain them for other tanks? Or do you only fully train the crew for tanks you intend to keep.

Ill then keep them in the new tank until the crew skill theyre running is at 100%. that usually takes 200 to 300 battles.
if you start working up a crew keep them in the same class line as youll lose more XP when switching them from say, mediums to td's.
I always go for repair first then firefighting and lastly camo.

Hey Jomni, it really depends on how long you plan to keep the tank or that particular line ( light, med, TD etc). If you have the credits, its always a good idea to spring for the 75% training. I have found that, as mentioned above, that they level up pretty quickly. Once they get to 100% you can pick your specialization. If you stay in the line , say light tanks for example, you can transfer them into a new light tank with the use of credits and retain some of their percentages. ( if they are at 90% and you transfer them into another light tank, they will start at some amount above 75%). If you transfer a light crew to a medium ( out of that line) you seem to lose that carryover.
As far as the specialization goes, that depends on your line and playstyle. I usually start with camo, then repair, then fire. As I understand it, they will keep and use the specialization skill even if they go below 100% if you transfer them. As you get higher level tanks though, you may want to change this.

Buy the new vehicle without a crew and place the crew from the previous vehicle into it. Then retrain each member of the crew (be sure to have Current Vehicle selected). I just trained a 100% crew for a new tank in this manner and it ended up at 90% for the price of 20,000 credits normally charged per crew member for 75% crew training. It's more expensive than the free 50% crew training, but it makes the game so much more enjoyable.

Bleh. _______________________________________________________________________ I logged in a couple days ago, to check out all the new tech trees & stuff. I'd forgotten that I had the week of free premium still. So now I feel obligated to burn that off. They're tricksey!! Moved up a couple German lines (TD & heavy tank) a bit. God, the Pz38nA grind was terrible.. as bad (likely worse) as the A-20 grind. Glad that's over. Soon I'll have another bad grind through one I don't like for it's tier, the JpzIV. Ugh.

Haven't had this before and it doesn't manifest itself in other MMO's that I play?

Which is to say during the period when the kids in Asia are on, and doing some extremely stupid things. So yeah, there's occasional warping due to a crappy spread of user latency I'm sure.

stock, this tank pretty much blows more then Azz and you mostly get put into matches where that 75mm isnt doing much. its frakin painful!
going back to an earlier post about crew training I should mention that Im using a new crew just to get by this tank. I plan on using the elite crew from my DB to crew the P2 thats next on the list. they'll also go on to crew the E-50.

Now you know why I tried to get everyone to grind their way up to the Panther II before patch 6.6 went live. I got a free Panther, Panther II, and E-50 by doing so.

looking at the stats I have for it, its actually doing very well. its actually better then my Ferd in terms of win/loss at 58% and the hit % is about 74. it just seems to feel different then what I remember.

there are many times when I try to get to a hill to slope my armour... but I am thinking that just turns the armoured front into shell traps..... like the freaking T-32 GLACIS/TURRET SHOULD BE DAMMIT!

After the painfull 9k it takes to get the tracks you are still left with 22k for the upgraded turret, 16k for a short 105 mm gun and 46k to get to the long 105. I lost money or broke even when I was on the winning side of a battle with the 88mm gun. I couldn't stand the thought of grinding through the 105 so I converted free exp to research it instantly!
I hate this game, it sucks up time and real money to get throught really painfull tanks.
just my 2 cents
