Carbonera (sic?) is the best way to have pasta... it's just all good. Why the other day, I ordered a ham & swiss crepe and had them substitute bacon & cheddar... and it was most excellent. My girlfriend makes an awesome pasta (penne) with small bits of bacon and courgettes/zucchini ( "zucchine" in Italian). I'll ask her the recipe, trust me it's outrageously delicious. It's highly addictive and it should be banned... I absolutely love bacon.

I believe you fried about a bound of bacon, crisp, and saved it. You latticed about 2 lbs of bacon on a tray and then added 2 lbs of Italian sausage, placed the crisp bacon on the sausage along with whatever sauce you liked, rolled it and grilled it for about 2 hours.
