I just installed Minsk '44 and when I tried to read the rules they apparently  aren't installed in this game as in my Winter War game. I connected to the internet as prompted but I couldn't get them through Windows Help because it seems that Windows 7 64 bit doesn't support the version of Windows Help that the game wanted. I was prompted to a Windows Help download. However, after reading about all the possible problems
I'm definitely not  a computer wizard who could easily fix any issues that arose) I don't really want to do that download. Is there any other way to get the rules? The only rules that I can get to show is the Parameter Data.      Thanks for any help.

Just have a look in the Minsk 44' folder in Explorer, you should find a MS Word doc file called 'user.doc', these are the rules. In other PzC games they may be PDF files.

As Krak said, the Word Doc versions are what you need.         Eventually updates will be rolled to the whole series and all the documentation will be moved to PDF files, but I'm not sure when that will take place.

I spent a long time last night trying to figure this out but so far no luck. It's probably because I don't know what I'm doing, but I could never find  Explorer with a MS Word doc file called 'user.doc'. I tried all sorts of combos of this in the search programs and files and I also looked in my Windows 7 reference book, but I couldn't find it. I installed the game into a folder named Games and I found the doc files there, so I tried to open them with the methods available in my system but they wouldn't open. Again, I was offered the option to download something to open them. If you have any other ideas for me, please send them and I'll try again.

Make sure you have downloaded and applied the updates for the game here:         http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/updates/up_PZC/up_PZC.html         You'll have to browse to your customer folder to get them installed properly.         You can download the Free Word viewer here:         http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3657ce88-7cfa-457a-9aec-f4f827f20cac&displaylang=en

Marty, so far no arrival, but I'm in a dialup only if that makes a difference.     Thank you again.

I want to let everyone know helpful that Marty Ward has been to me. He put the game docs into PDF format, e-mailed them to me, and I'm now learning how to play the game.     Thank you so much Marty.
