You know what I would really like to see, a better City tile so I could see roads and rails more easily. A large urban area is just a jumble to me!

The second one ( looks more like fields with hedges as a boundary ) might be better used to represent the bocage terrain in the N'44 game.     For some reason the bocage features has been a bit overpowering, but again it's only my opinion.     But I'd like to be able to see the roads more clearly.           Phillipe again I always play with the hexes and contours on as it shows the lie of the land.

I played Normandy for about 6 months then installed Jisons map mod. I found all sorts of roads I didn't know existed! [

Have no problems with the roads or tracks but I cannot get my head around Jisons 2D terrain with or without hexes and contours on, when I first installed the latest game 1914, I found it was totally unplayable ( too many similar greenish levels ) and I had to retrofit the standard HPS 2DTerrain files.     This inspired me to alter other game files to fit my needs including a new set of 2DTerrain files, now I am able to utilize most of Jison other terrain files and his new unit cards which are a revelation.     Would post a screenshot which better shows the lie of the land but I keep gett'in a error message at this site, could post one elsewhere like the Blitz or Gamesquad no problem.     Regarding roads I use Jisons 2D modern motorways as my Primary roads in ALL my games     the tarmac one's are relegated to Secondary,     and therefore the brown Secondary as trails, NO PROBLEMS.

I just have trouble finding roads, especially in large urban areas. This particularly sucks in France 14 as you automatically disrupt if you aren't moving in T mode on a road at night.     Your eyesight is probable better than mine. Your monitor probably is too![

Marty by using Jison's modern motorway/highway files which are light coloured as the primary roads they show up better in city and town hexes as the buildings are dark.     And yes I had the same problem with marches thro a built up area.     Sorry this may be misleading as I use the default game 2DTerrain files in which the buildings are a darker shade.     Regarding eyesight, yes I wear glasses now but still have good vision.           I've copied three of my games to another folder( F'14, F'40 and DF'85 ) and use them for messing around with various files so as not to upset any ongoing games.

I am using Jison's mod for 1914 and it help a lot. It is much easier for me to make out. Thank god for his mod!           Another thing I would like to see, especially in 1914, is a more distinct marking of a blown railroad. There are a  lot of blown rails on the map and it's hard to determine where you can move, which route takes you where you want to go. Or even you can't get there from here![

I only fart around with the basic stuff, guys like Volcanoman, IronX and Jison are producing quality art. Jison new Unitcards for 1914 are a revelation and a giant step forward but who else in the PZC community can produce these.     Can't go without saying how much I'm looking forward to IronX's forthcoming Squad Battles art work.

Phillipe I stole a march on you and tried the SHRUBBERY/bocage art which was contained in your Tobruk mod in Normandy'44, a massive improvement on the stock art.     The roads and tracks are really clear now and also I can now see the contours for the first time ever in the bocage !!!, well done squire.     Don't worry your files remain locked down on my HD.

The one that's hidden away in Minsk is a little more up to date, though the difference is pretty minor (a couple of small trees).
