We are a Wargames Club with a commitment towards Napoleonic wargaming.  All wargame      battles are played online. A lot of battles are played in campaign style as well as historic battles and non historic battles.      A more realistic approach is the playing of campaign battles    and supports an appreciation of the times and events of the period rather than having a battle just      for the sake of having a battle.  One needs to conserve troops for the next battle, and the one after      that ... - with the idea that one may lose a battle but still win the war.           Strategy and logistics are the keys to good campaign wargaming. Maintaining a campaign, with an      army/ies in the field and keeping it in good health and fighting spirit {morale] takes a lot of work.      Many leaders of the time found this to be a difficult task.  We have found making teams for each      side a good way to share this burden.     Visit us at The Generals HQ

We intend to put in a series of AARs involving one of our campaigns shorlty involving EIA and Histwar Les Grognards for the battles.     Players who play HWLG (Histwar) are currenlty playing are having fun practicing battles of which they get experience for and shall be included on the Campaign games ahead.     Short term Scenarios of EiA are made up to the started in conjunction with using Hista Les Grognards for the battles.  The next Campaign will be run for the Danube Campaign of 1805, Sept 1805 to January 1805. Other Campaigns are planned like the Russian Campaign of 1812.  Major nations involved in that are France, Austria and Russia, other nations of Bavaria and other may be involved in the scenario depending the Political activities after the game begins.      At TGHQ we believe that each major nation involved in the history of Napoelonics each are run by there own entity. So therefore CNC of each Major Army France, Austria, Russia, Prussia, Great Britian, Spain are represented and also of all the minors powers at the time, who designate there Chief of Staff Army wing commanders and Corps Commanders.  Role play between players is encouraged of the same side and opposing sides are encouraged to this end.     Histwar Les Grognards puts you really at the head of your army, where your line of sight will reduce your abilty to see all that happens, with reduced visibility, real delay in orders issued. Loss of ADC or messages can be delayed or never arrrive once battle takes place. You will have to manage these real difficulties that commanders had at this era.     Understand the true nature of Corps organisation deployment and fighting as you have never seen before.
