So I've cannibalized one of my old Combat Mission mods.

If people like them, they may start showing up in future updates.

The mod features a new style of damage marker (a small, thick, dark red 'x') that is always visible but doesn't clutter up the playing area, lighter movement markers, and color-harmonized zoomed-out primary and secondary roads and railroads.
The mod can be downloaded from Task Force Echo Four:

German higher Headquarters units use the same images as in the other mods. There have also been some adjustments to the Fallschirmjaeger images for those not playing Volcano Man's _Alt scenarios.

The unit images have received a major overhaul. Many of these changes will also start showing up in the other games that take place during the first half of the war.
Here's a collage of screenshots to give you a sense of what the new look actually looks like:

So I've made some very explicit and detailed additions to the 'How to use this mod' textfile.
The Korsun winter/summer images work the same way, and I'll make sure there is something equivalent written into that mod when I get around to revising it (which should be fairly soon).

This update uses the same conventions for Soviet higher headquarters images that can be found in some of my more recent updates.
Regular divisions still use the hollow star as per Volcano Man, but the thick gold border is used to distinguish corps from division HQ's. Regular army HQ's have a hammer and sickle, and Front HQ's use a hammer and sickly with a thick gold border. Guard division HQ's have a head of Lenin in profile, Guard corps HQ's are the same as divisions except for the thick gold band, and Guard armies (I don't think there are any in this game) use a double head of Lenin and Stalin in profile.

In case anyone has forgotten, install the latest HPS patch (which you can get from the HPS website), then install the latest version of the Volcano Man mod (which you can get from the Volcano Man Mods website), then install Jison's mod, then install mine.
Also, be sure to get the missing movement sounds from the SDC website if you haven't already:
