Almost 100 years later the CIA has released spying and skullduggery techniques it used during the Great War.           I like any development that allows me to use the term 'skullduggery'

I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

When I was a kid I read a book about the history of her majesty's secret service that described most of the 'secrets' being breathlessly revealed.         Now it's true that perfidious Albion always did have a talent for this sort of thing, but it just leads me to suspect that in many fundamental ways the CIA is a bit behind the times.         The age of Reilly is not only over, but apparently long forgotten.

I can't believe it's already been almost a century since WW1 began.  It doesn't seem "right" that it's so long ago.

What seems wrong to me is that I know I grew up amongst a lot of American vets of WWI but I was way too young at the time to even know. And now they're all gone. It's a shame.

This is the second thread that you've posted in without understanding that something is a figure of speech.          I really hope for your sake that your primary language isn't English.
