Given my weird work shifts (nights, 12 hrs, 4 days in and 4 days off) I only get a couple of Fridays to play each month, but tonight is going to be a Combat Mission: Normandy night. And tomorrow and for the rest of my 4 days off, it'll be HOI 3 Gotterdammerung mod, and Panzer Command Ostfront, which I recently bought but haven't had the time to try yet.

Having just read the Panzer Corps game preview, I'm in the mood for some Panzer General Forever.

Playing some total war. My territories are wracked by rebellion and food shortages. Being shogun has done nothing for me.

Medieval Real Time, Mount and Blade style Historical Combat.

Well I played some War in the East yesterday and I have to say I'm disappointed they did not make an option to switch off the "auto select all units in a hex"...I'm forever moving an entire stack when I want to move individual units to surround a unit and that they haven't fixed it so you don't accidentally move your front line units out of a hex and leave your HQ sitting next to an enemy unit - which then moves back 6 hexes.         I thought I had left it alone long enough that these two would be changed (I won't say fixed, because some people like they way it is).

I had duty last night and managed to get in about 5 turns of WiTP:AE.  Man, the Allies are really in the hurt locker during the early game! For the remainder of the weekend I will probably get a few more turns in of WiTP:AE, finish my vassal game of Carrier, and break out either/or EAW:SPAW and/or Strike Fighters 2:Vietnam.

No Friday gaming for me, but I did watch some House Season 1 and read a couple of chapters of Foundation and Empire.   At some point, I'd like to get in some Distant Worlds or Dragon Age gaming.

Six Gun Saga - officially In Love(tm) with the game. Duke Nukem Forever *shudder* - novelty ideas wrapped up in an abysmal game Pride of Nations (on and off, keep loading it, running a couple of turns and then shutting it down).

Purchased Vic's new Six Gun Game based on spelk's AAR.  Quite nice.  I won the 1st game vs Wyatt Earp pretty easily, but upped the starting cash from 5 to 10 and Wyatt Earp smacked me around pretty badly on the 2nd game.   Another fine Indie game to the repetoire.  This one may actually keep me away from Dwarf Fortress and Aurora for awhile.
