That being said, if there is no Dew available, then Coke is usually my second choice (particularly if I need caffeine).

I'm still more likely to choose Coke, however, as most root beers don't have caffeine (Barq's being the notable exception, and I tend to find that a bit too sweet/cloying for my tastes).

I remember watching a comedian who was doing a bit about generic soft drinks and my favorite line was about Dr. Pepper; "Mr. Pibb? That guy didnt even get his degree"

It's way better than A&W which tastes like imitation root beer. I'd say Barqs is the best nationally mass marketed root beer but there are some really good smaller regional root beers.

For those of you in or near upstate NY, try Saranac sodas. Their root beer is to die for!
I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

Amen brother! Followed by the diet versions thereof, and of course Mug, Barqs and Mr. Pibb.

If anyone hasnt seen it yet Coke Fountain Division has introduced a machine that allows you to choose various combinations of their base products with different flavors. I believe its somewhere around 100 different possible drinks that dispense from the one machine. For instance it has Diet Coke with vanilla, lime, cherry, raspberry, orange, etc. The best fountain machine ever!!

I used to really enjoy Pepsi and would prefer it over Coke, however now that I am older I feel Pepsi is too sweet.
Funny how they seem to know that too in targeting the Pepsi Generation?
I would like to know the ages of people who prefer Pepsi over Coke,
I am 35 btw.
