Graphics are more cartoonish and of course the play is "persistent" so you need to go on there often or you are falling behind. I guess you either love that or hate about "social" games.
In some ways it sounds like "Rise of Nations" in terms of timed harvesting of resources.
Combat is played like a card hand apparently so that is different.
