I don't think so. The two brands are pretty interchangable these days. It's just been a slow integration process, I think.

I know that if you buy the game at Matrix, you can then also register it at Slitherine, which I've done with four or so games. I have no idea if the opposite is true.
The patching is the same it seems.

For the retail boxed Collector's Edition, shouldn't those in Europe purchase from Slitherine and those in the Western Hemisphere buy it from Matrix? Digital downloads should make no difference unless there are taxes, etc., to consider I would think. Patches should be identical and the availability should be the same on either side of the pond.

We use the same installer so patches release exactly the same time. Older products may have different installers but we're merging the processes together as we go to make it easier for users.

Although there's obviously crossover compatibility, I recall being charged an exchange rate for buying from the Slitherine shop in the past, while that isn't the case with the Matrix shop for me since I live in the US.

There may be some rounding differences on currency conversions as the sites are not fully integrated but all taxes etc are applied in the same way. The default currency for our product pages depends on your locations. £ for UK, $ for US and Euro for Europe. So there may be small differences but nothing significant.

That's the problem with making us all junkies. The addicts have to be fed!
Yes indeed, I seem to recall some thread with speculation on the first expansion pack for PzCorps coming soon.
Any information on that one? Pretty please?

The campaign I was looking forward to suddenly just didn't seem like it would match up to PG after all. Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on this game and will likely buy it down the road.

They've changed the game significantly, it definitely is not a simple PG redo with newer graphics. I, for one, feel I've got my money's worth out of this game, just as it stands right now. (I just have the original content, haven't checked out any of the scenarios that modders are already creating.) Start saving those pennies, this one's worth it.
One mistake, and you're sliding down the razor blade of defeat, and a dull, rusted, and poisoned blade at that.

You may want to consider purchasing sooner than later. Several Afrika Korps mods are in the works by the modding community. One will be released on Sept 18 and will include new terrain and unit graphics. And there is another that looks good that will likely release before then. Check out Slitherine's PzCorps forum for info.

I sometimes fell that developers will get lazy and leave all the possibilities to modders.
