Monday is national day here, so i've got a long weekend.                 I'll be playing mostly Armada 2526 Supernova with the new beta patch. I will pursue my game with the Cancerians...i am now number 5 (around turn 400 of 1'000) but it's going to be difficult to win without going to war with the Walden Forrest (they've got something like 75 colonies). I also have the pbem games (which are getting more interesting after the 50 first turns). I am likely to try the new races, especially the Silq Combine which require a very different game approach.           On my netbook, i am playing the following:           Star Trek Armada: finishing the Klingon campaign     Master of Orion III: a long Tachidi campaign     Lords of the Realm III...starting the England campaign     Star Trek: Birth of the Federation (Balance of Power mode)...expanding my Klingon empire...even though some minor races are really bugging me (yeah, i especially mean you, Bajoran fighters)

Games i play now:

Armada 2526 Supernova, Commander: the Great War, Heroes of Annihilitated Empires, The Great Battles Collection

I'm Sort of in an unusual situation. I find games online that I would normaly buy at the sale prices, but I can't because I don't want the bother of doing anything else except Combat Mission Afika Corps! this is simply the best thing I've ever played, and It will be every forseable friday!         The PBEM is great send your orders then watch the action! I dont like Real-time gameing in any game, but these turns in CM are so enjoyable.         you get a deinable area/Map what reminds me of minature tabletop but also works as realistic Map. There is so much real detail in the game its forever impressing-me.         I play CMBO aswell even the old CMs are superb, these games beat modern games, and you dont need a powerfull PC to play         gamersgate.com gog.com battlefront.com

I'm on the gaming fence lately. I'm pleased there are new stuff for Armada: 2526/Supernova coming in the patch. Otherwise I have been just playing Terraria or Dungeons of Dredmor, might dig back into M2TW since I have gotten rusty in my battle management.

I'll be playing Risen. I just installed it yesterday. I've had the box on a shelve for a year now but the day after i ordered it i found Gothic III on sale at GG and bought that too... Never saw the point of having both installed.. Anyway it looks damn nice and apparently they've switched engine.   There might also be some RTW Roma surrectum, playing around with a Sparta campaign waiting for 2.2 to be released.

Not a lot of gaming time this weekend what with the Tri Nations starting and F1 and loft insulation to complete - still a few hours will be available         So - definitely Ka-50 Black Shark for me now I've actually spent some time trying to learn to fly the pig!         I might perform some A10 stuff to get back into that after learning some time ago the startup procedure.         So no strategy gaming at all for me this weekend - I'll be giving it a miss. It'll be an all sim weekend for me

I'm almost finished with AACW so I've started Revolution Under Siege. I'd like to thank the guys who recommended it, I'm having a blast. The best part is I have no detailed knowlege of the events in RUS so everythig is a suprise. Great game IMHO.

I'm still playing Two Worlds II and having a grand old time.  Got about 40 hours in and I'm about halfway through the storyline.

After a period of not being drawn to any game, I've returned to Combat Mission Battle for Normandy. The latest patch seems to have improved the Quick Battles, although they can still be hit and miss when the AI selects the opposing forces.    I've also decided to give the Ageod games another go, and I'm currently playing Rise of Prussia. I find this one a bit easier on the eye than the American Civil War game, which attempts to offer far too much information on the screen. Still, there are times when it's difficult to keep track of what's going on. I may need to adjust some options to prevent the map moving around as much as it does when resolving movement and combat. I tend to lose track of where things are happening when it bounces around the way it does.

Playing the Sudanese campaign mod for Napoleon: Total War, called The Oriental, as the Ottomans. Great mod, pretty stable and of course a very interesting campaign, including the Mahdists as a playable faction in addition to the Bedouins and the Brits.

I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

^ You mean Combat Mission:Normandy, right?         I'm not being a smart arse, I'm only asking because it's a little confusing when the post refers to what you think is CM:N (i.e. you mentioning the latest patch) but you refer to the game as CM:BN - your posts made me wonder if a patch was out for Combat Mision Beyond Normandy :-)         Alot of people do it...I've even had to correct a few posts myself before posting!

That'd be the one. Not sure what made me think it was that one. Too many Normandy games around, I guess.

Mostly just playing a couple of old favorites this weekend.                  Like Anguille, I've got a Klingon campaign going in Birth of the Federation (Balance of Power mod).  I've got the northeast qudrant of the map pretty much to myself, with the Ferengi Alliance on my southern border.  They've just declared war on me, however, so things have just gotten interesting.  I'm hoping to fend them off long enough to first expand into a recently-discovered cluster of superb (and resource-rich) star systems to the west of Qo'Nos.  Once I've claimed those worlds, I will turn my full attention to the (disturbingly large) Alliance fleet harrassing my southern colonies.  In the meantime, I've dispatched a small battle group to the area to do what they can to keep the Ferengi off-balance.            I've also started a new campaign in Shogun Total War.  And because I'm feeling somewhat masochistic, I've chosen to play as the Oda clan this time around.  I've gotta say, it's a real challenge when you have the treacherous Mori to the west, and aggressive Takeda, sneaky Imagawa, and powerful Uesugi to the east!
