The genesis version is a top down 3rd person shooter, but you earn karma points to upgrade attributes, and cash to buy new body armor and weapons. There is also a cyber mode where you jack into the 'internet' or whatever they called it. That is a completely different game mode. Its pretty wonky with lots of bizarre mechanics, but fun.
Shadowrun on Genesis was one of the best RPGs ever made.

"Divinity II devs, Larian Studios, have announced their next game. Continuing their fondness for winged lizards, this time it’s all about “massive dragon combat” in Dragon Commander. A turn-based strategy-cum-RPG, it’s of course set in the Divinity universe – although within what they’re calling an “Art Nouveau/Steampunk world” – and they’re promising it will “break new ground”. You can see the first video of it below."

Since I don't have much money at the moment I may start off my steampunk gaming with Guns of Icarus. I can still swing the 5.00 it costs at Steam. For a few dollars more I may get Rise of Legends when I can as well.
I'm glad my character uses a shield because I may be taking a bashing here soon.

Also isn't the new game Bastion a bit of a Steampunk themed isometric platform adventure game?

It's an RPG, I think it is rather action oriented from the user reviews. Definitely has Steampunk as there's fantasy characters along with old trains and such.
Of course, it's another 1C game that likely has little support and some bugs. Hell, I picked it up for $4.49 on sale this week yet I couldn't get past the campaign intro.. it would crash every single time. Luckily GetGamesGo refunded me without a fuss. []

To be fair, I searched the 1C forum about just such a CTD and found no mention of a similar episode. Perhaps it's just my specific vid drivers or something.. So there's a good chance it was just a freak hardware issue in my case, though I'd like to think that my rig is very high on the compatibility scale. [sm=dunno2.gif]
My first guess was that it didn't like my DirectX 11 compatible AMD vid card & it's drivers because it crashed right when switching from the video to the actual 3D game.

Grim Dawn is an action role-playing game intended for digital distribution on the PC. It is being developed by veterans of Iron Lore entertainment, the makers of Titan Quest. Grim Dawn is being built with Crate's own improved version of the Iron Lore engine and toolset; the same technology used to create Titan Quest. As a spiritual successor, Grim Dawn will attempt to better perfect the magical formula of exploration, character advancement, and loot collection pioneered by Diablo.
Ohhhh dayum! I'm glad you linked this. I didn't know another ARPG from the Titan Quest guys was coming out.
