It was more old school RTS with base building while the holding of tactical points was a new concept at the time. DOW 2 is a great game as well, but basebuilding has been abandoned. I prefer 1 and you should get tremendous amounts of fun from the title, gameleaper! Good choice! - Yskonyn

Just too much tedious work when one is just wanting to have fun and relax. So, I will always be a fan of #2 and prefer that over #1 forever.
