Not sure I understand what your saying....is KA II already $9 on steam?  I checked and still looks like $39. I likely just misunderstood what you were saying, but just checking.  I know their first DLC for KA II is $9, but main game seems like the normal price.

You're confusing it with the Prologue campaign, Dead Legions.

KA2 is not on sale yet.

It's on sale at Gamergate for me, but I think I'll wait for some reviews...

Pardon, I did confuse the two. KAII: Dead Legions and KAII both for sale now on Steam--both were released on the 27th in the US at least.

I meant being discounted, not just being sold.

It's been released everywhere already. Digitally at least.

OK, just checking with people who have the game:

When you select "new campaign," what options show up for you? I only have "Prologue," even though the game downloaded all of the main campaign content last night when it was released. You don't have to complete the prologue first, right? I don't want to waste my time playing the Prologue if I don't have to for my review.

The main game and the Prologue campaign are 2 separate products.

The so called DLC is a stand-alone part.

Just run the main King Arthur 2 game.

That makes sense. I think the Steam key that Paradox gave me is for the prologue only, even though the game identifies itself as "King Arthur 2" and actually downloaded the product in its entirely.

I guess I have to wait until they hand out keys for the full game to the press.

Paradox is usually pretty good about handing out game keys before they are released, except for two recent games: Sword of the Stars 2 and King Arthur 2. I wonder why...

Ah, so apparently it's not just me:

Awesome. So, why does Paradox get this reputation for buggy releases again?

They should have just released everything together in one go.

According to them it is spontaneously spawned malcontents who write mean things about them for no reason whichsoever. If only they could censor the entire internet then they wouldn't have a problem.

Since you are going to be busy with this, can I have your copy of CK 2?

Seriously, one thing your video did accomplish was getting me to reinstall the original and taking another crack at it.

On a related note, their promise to issue Steam keys to those who purchased the first King Arthur at Gamersgate, but who haven't received updates for it, was carried through.

And someone F'd up.

They gave some of us Steam keys to the original King Arthur game -  not the whole King Arthur Collection which many of us own there.

I'm thankful they're somewhat trying to set things right, but taking 6 months to fail at getting it completely done is disheartening.  I hope Paradox doesn't provide the same poor service regarding their future non-Steam products.

The performance on my maching is in the 25 FPS range on medium/high settings, so it's not as bad as some others have been reporting.

25 FPS isn't very good, though.

I guess they're still using the same engine as the first game.  It was my biggest complaint - that wildly changing graphics settings barely made a difference in framerates.  No matter how much I changed stuff, it still didn't run as fast as smooth as it should.

I thought that extremely odd, and it's obviously caused by the game engine.

Yeah. Game looks nice, though. Heard ATI cards have a tougher time than NVIDIA.

Ouch! Just read the review and I'm fairly sure you did'nt care for the game (Paradox may start to dislike you). However, I for one am glad I read the review because you just saved me $39.99.
