It's not tower defense at all.

It's a classic RTS with base building (remember that?). You choose a planet with a mission (eliminate a specific unit, collect resources, stuff like that) and then build a base and troops and go shoot aliens.

My problem with the game is that it's extremely repetitive (the first 10 minutes of every mission is identical as you build up your initial base) and the pace is very slow (I sit and wait for resource to accumulate and units to build too often).

I'll be uploading a video of a mission later this afternoon if you'd like to see what a typical scenario involves. I'll post a link to it here.

My 2 cents: http://www.spacesector.com/blog/2012/02/star-prospector-first-impressions/

I enjoyed playing the first two missions. It's quite a relaxed-pace RTS yes but I had fun playing. It's easy to learn, move around, build stuff. I think it's a very slick title. Here is the demo in case you missed it.

Good stuff. The developer responded pretty quick when I had a save problem. It's a fun little game.

Played it. Not that impressed actually.

The concept is kinda cool though... but as soon as they said "the earth military is ineffective maybe a lone prospector can do better with the right tools"... it started to lose me.

ahhhh, its just an old school RTS chewy.

Medieval Real Time, Mount and Blade style Historical Combat.
