Man alive, those Total War screenies are insane.  I really do need to try a mod one of these days- my entire TW experience has been vanilla since day one.

Anyway, I'm moving along in my Knights of the Nine questline in Oblivion.  It's not quite as epic as I was hoping, but I can definitely say that I'm totally grooving on how my character is shaping up finally.

Overall, I definitely prefer Skyrim to Oblivion.

Rome, expanding into the eastern Greek provinces.  As you can see, the showdown is developing around Sardis.  I fear I may have bitten off more than I can chew- perhaps another 3-4 turns would have been appropriate to build up more of a force.  This might be one of those fights where I draw all of my troops to the point of contact, leaving my flanks open and hoping for the best.  Pontas only has 5 more provinces, so I should be able to knock them out before things get too dicey.

That looks fine to me. You should win. Unless Rome's AI has gotten a bit better.

You have war dogs? Is that vanilla then?

Some from me:

The first shot below is of the sins rebellion BETA showing a new corvette class ship.

Wargame European Escalation shots are the green ones

The one that needs me to save 2000 points is very hard actually. But I founds a small hill on the map!! Yay, look how nice and friendly to vehicles that hill is too.

The jpeg format doesn't do DC:WtP's crisp 2D graphics much justice on these.   The small Holland '40 scenario:

First mission after upgrading to Black Shark 2.  Complete with Callsign "New Callsign".  Took a little fire but headin' home winchester.  (Rt-click and select "View Image" if you can't see all of a screenshot here)

Nice damage modelling.   I heard a loud THUNK as if I'd been hit by something large, when pulling back on the cyclic to stop for my landing.  The top of my damaged tail fell off due to the slightly higher G-forces!  Very cool.

BlackShark is AWESOME. Great flight model (bit tricky with all the trimming required), great avionics - everything just spells "bloody hard but great fun". I love it - and it looks gorgeous to boot.
