Thread topic is pretty straight forward. Did you buy something cool for your home? Computer? Clothes? We'll keep this interesting by not making it about PC games or wargames, but the other stuff in life we get.

After years upon years of writing, I never once had a proper mechanical keyboard. So I bought a Rosewill 9000.

http://www.rosewill.com/products/1611/ProductDetail_Overview.htm

Looks fairly basic and plain right? That's one great aspect! It's functional-looking and very, very sturdy. Weighs a lot more than a regular keyboard, which is great because it stays put very easily. However, the best part is the mechanical clicky-clack noise it makes while typing. These type of keyboards are well-known for their precision and overall quality, and it really shows.

So lets hear what everyone else bought. Obviously, lets keep it within tasteful means, there are some things that we buy that don't want people to see

My latest interesting purchase was a stand-up paddleboard.  I've been wanting one for a while and I found a Robert August model in Haleiwa marked half off that I couldn't refuse.

I've taken it out a  few times now and it's a lot of fun- and a really good workout!

Why not post a pic or a vid of the relaxing pastime?

My most recent purchase was a snow blower.  Oh, and I had to buy a new pc 'cause the old one died.

A Kriss Super-V in .45 acp.  It's basically a Glock...on speed.

A new 2012 (is that redundant?) BMW 650i convertible, some ecstasy, lots of champagne, and a "date" to Lake Charles for some additional sinning at the black jack tables...

Nice thread to stimulate a response from me.  (Side note; I had trouble copying and pasting this from Word 2007 to this forum. Had to edit several times. You may need to copy and paste links into your browser before they work).

I massively upgraded my computer with new mobo, cpu, 2 graphic cards, memory, power supply, dvd rw drive, eternal  and internal hard drives, cpu cooler, etc.

I checked online for reviews of the “best” components to purchase within my budget and believe I succeeded.

There are three items I want to highlight as I’m especially pleased with their performance.

      1.    CoolerMaster Storm mechanical gaming keyboard.

2.    Thermaltake Black Gaming Mouse

3.    Corsair 1500 Vengeance 7.1 headphones

Each has significantly improved my computing and gaming experience and pleasure.  The mechanical keyboard is a first for me and is the best remedy for my aching, numb, and arthritic hands and fingers. The rubberized mouse is ergonomically fitting, has cool lights, very responsive and is insanely fast at 6500 dpi’s (adjustable).  And WOW, the headphones are the best sounding ones I’ve ever placed over my ears.

I don't think I'm going to be getting into any Western showdowns with Jarhead anytime soon

Although I did buy this little conceal-carry .38 It's about the size of the front grip of Jarhead's new toy, lol!

Just thinking about it--have to find some new helium titties, first!

Thanks for the post and links. Very informative. I'll look into your links when my keyboard and headphones go. My Medusas are starting to disintegrate...
