I got my proverbial handed to me in my first match.

The amount of unit variety here is amazing.. I am very pleased with this little gem.

Loading a cannon is a five step process. Pick up a ball. Walk to the cannon's mouth. Put the ball in. Push the ball into the cannon with the plunger. Walk to the rear of the cannon and aim before firing.

That Napoleon DLC looks absolutely amazing. I wish I had the time for it.

Still play this from time to time as I wait for more DLC. Still one of my two favorite shooters of all time.

Dennis,

For some reason one particular file in CIV V gets corrupted on occasion and I had steam do a validity check (or whatever they call it) which fixes it.  Try also running in Directx9 instead of 10/11 if it still doesn't work.

I'm currently finishing up an epic world map as the Aztecs.  Have captured 5 capitals, 3 others were conquered by other players and the two remaining opponents are truly superpowers.  While I have no doubt I can beat them both, not sure if I can do it before I run out of time!

I have tried directx 9, as well as 10/11, with zero success.

I create a new game, and I get a hard lock on turn 1. Every time.

Do do I do a validity check for this game?

Go to the game in your library on Steam, right click and select Properties. Then select the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache. I would also click Defragment Cache Files before verifying

This worked PERFECTLY. Thank you very much. I had strongly considered biting the bullet and spending the money on a retail version.

I had 128 files that were corrupted...but now I know what to look for, it's all good.

Now, I just need to learn how to play!

I will be spending time playing Fallout 2 this weekend. Maybe some War in the East as well.

I've been playing Dominion 3 with the Warhammer Mods. I've been playing the Skaven and I've very close to making the Screaming Bell. First time I really felt like I was playing a Warhamme game when using a mod.

Yep...all good in the hood. Next time, remind me that other Civs don't like it when you push your settlers right up tight against their borders. This is a time-honored technique from other Civ games. Gives me the most territory to use for my Civilization.

Do they have all the factions, yet, and how balanced is it? Last I checked, They only had a small handful of partially working factions. Of course, that was years ago. I'll have to head to the forum and check it out.

They have all of them and they did a great job of coming up with specific rules and spells for each faction. I've played about 300 turns and I am just now stamping out the Dwarfs. AI does a real good job.

Great! Can all the Warhammer stuff be found in one spot? I looked in the mods section and all I saw on the front page was a thread for northern greenskins. Do you have to search the whole section (40 pages) and grab the files piecemeal?

Thanks! Things have changed a bit since I was doing multiplayer a few years ago.

Not had much time for gaming this weekend so far.  I've played the CK2 demo a little (no, I haven't purchased it yet!), but that's been about it.

Well thanks mate. On a whim I bought Dom 3 after seeing the pleasant knight graphics of the warhammer set.

I've just lost 6 hours somewhere from booting it up to closing it down. I'm kind f paying in the fly at the moment and sort of trail and error playiing on a random large map with all the warhammer sets as the Brit Knights. Really am enjoying it, an amazing fantasy game with gameplay elements right up my street, i.e not RTS but giving your orders then watching the battle play out...love that.

Is there a proper warhammer map? With all the warhammer nations even a large map is crowded. Is it possible to have different sprites for your god rather than the default ones your offered at the start? If so what mods are they in?

Taking a break from Shogun2 FOTS, CMBN:CWF and S&I.

I played a version of the US July into-the-bocage offensive with the

Boardgame Battle for Normandy.  Looks like 9 Panzer, Panzer Lehr

and the 17th SS Panzer Grenadiers might be able to stop

six US infantry divisions from breaking though the Parachutists

and the Ost Battalions and Bicycle Troops, but the US attack

is burning through the rag-tag KGs pretty fast.  And the weather

has been getting better.

Not that I know of. Alos, there is a conflict with teh Elf and Empire mods. Both have
#selectnation 80. To get them both to work at the same time you will need to change one of them to 82. You can open up the DM file in note pad to make the change.
