Thankfully the price is modest enough to take the chance. The latest turn based RPG is Malevolence.

This will be an interesting one to watch as they have started out with quite a high funding goal and did not give themselves alot of time to reach it...when you can get the game for a $15 pledge, they usually have a duration of 60 or 90 days to allow as many backers in at that modest pledge amount. To try and get $675,000 in 30 days will be tough.

Looks good. I just don't have the clicking ability like I used to back in the days of Total Annhiliation and StarCraft 1. I don't know what happened. I just can't process fast enough or click fast enough anymore. Old age i s a mother.

Me neither.
$250, she will find out you know, their clever like that. Looks like your going to have to hand over some for a new handbag or something!
Just checked the KS page. Thas ALOT of money to ask for. I'd have gone for less to make sure it's funded and hope it ends up hitting that kind of figure. I seriously have my doubts this will hit that sort of figure. Shame.

Here's an interesting turn based strategy game...it has online play
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/voidrim/void-rim-a-multiplayer-turn-based-strategy-game
Edit: I see the designer started a thread on this one too, so hopefully, it will get decent exposer here.....

I guess kids would get a kick out of it and I do wonder if Matrix will obtain the rights for this strategic gem?!.....
EDIT: Funding was canceled on this one. Whether it was at KS behest of the designer I do not know.

Again though, this fund drive may suffer from too high a goal and not enough time to see it through completion. As many pledgers will jump on the $15 pledge amount to get the game, that will require many, many backers in 30 days.

It's a bit pricey for a single copy at $30 but the pieces look of decent quality and free shipping helps. Add an extra $1 and you can get an iPad app included as well.

I did not hesitate to back this one!
EDIT: This game already reached its goal in a few short hours. They probably knew that would happen so now it is just to sit back and see what rewards they come up with. I would not be surprised if it followed the ZOMBICIDE model since this game is coming from the same company.

Yeah I agree I don't know if they will hit their mark.
Unfortunately with this game, it's mostly novelty. I don't know anything about their chess engine but I remember buying battlechess way back in the day and I quickly tired of the battles and just wanted to get my chess on.

Good call on how BC played because quite frankly, I had forgotten how repetitive it became once the "novelty" wore off.

great find, JPFalcon! Thanks. I appreciate you trying to keep us updated on the latest Kickstarter projects that we might be interested in. As great as Kickstarter is, how is it that they have no real search engine?
