A Knights Quest is an unusual game for the game board is three levels high....the quality of the boards represented look very good as they are framed with wood. For only $50 though I'm not certain that is what you are going to get. I am sending the designer a message to see if that is the case.

EDIT: This project was canceled.

Unemployment  Quest - who knows if this video game will be any good. The subject matter is a bit different and for $5, why not?

Kickstarter is proving to be a nice platform for turn based video games....now it's true that without a review of a released game, or first impression forum threads, you run the risk of purchasing a sub par game. Thankfully the price is modest enough to take the chance. The latest turn based RPG is Malevolence.

This will be an interesting one to watch as they have started out with quite a high funding goal and did not give themselves alot of time to reach it...when you can get the game for a $15 pledge, they usually have a duration of 60 or 90 days to allow as many backers in at that modest pledge amount. To try and get $675,000 in 30 days will be tough.

Looks good. I just don't have the clicking ability like I used to back in the days of Total Annhiliation and StarCraft 1. I don't know what happened. I just can't process fast enough or click fast enough anymore.  Old age i s a mother.

Me neither.

$250, she will find out you know, their clever like that. Looks like your going to have to hand over some for a new handbag or something!

Just checked the KS page. Thas ALOT of money to ask for. I'd have gone for less to make sure it's funded and hope it ends up hitting that kind of figure. I seriously have my doubts this will hit that sort of figure. Shame.

Ok, I have a soft spot for historically themed games and Tammany Hall looks like a winner. This is actually a reprinting and I'm sure those who paid a small fortune for an out of print copy on eBay are crying in their beer.

Here's an interesting turn based strategy game...it has online play

Edit: I see the designer started a thread on this one too, so hopefully, it will get decent exposer here.....

Well first there was "Let's Go Crabbing" as a weird game, but then came along "Mr. Poopie". Not to be outdone however is a new strategic barfing game called "Feed Me Silly".  I guess kids would get a kick out of it and I do wonder if Matrix will obtain the rights for this strategic gem?!.....

EDIT: Funding was canceled on this one. Whether it was at KS behest of the designer I do not know.

Here's an interesting one where the developer is attempting to get enough funding to pay for the licensing rights to THE TWILIGHT ZONE pinball table. He plans to have it for multiple platforms (including Kindel Fire) with a PC version as well.

Titans of Industry looks like an interesting business strategy game but has only the remainder of today to reach it's funding goal. The "UndeadViking" provides a positive preview but it was only posted recently so we'll see if there is enough time to put the game over the top.

"Always Outnumbered" is a tower defence video game that features competitive multi-player and a story driven solo campaign. Again though, this fund drive may suffer from too high a goal and not enough time to see it through completion. As many pledgers will jump on the $15 pledge amount to get the game, that will require many, many backers in 30 days.

If you like solitaire and want to move away from the pc screen or standard Bicycle deck, here is a nice variation on the game. It's a bit pricey for a single copy at $30 but the pieces look of decent quality and free shipping helps. Add an extra $1 and you can get an iPad app included as well.

Any Roller Derby fans out there?   Well my Roller Derby viewing days have long passed me by, so I'll pass on this one, but for those who still get a kick out of it, you can start here.....

Here is another example of establishing a high funding goal with not enough time allocated to the cause. Battle Chess is a revival of a very popular video game from the '80s but asking for only $15 for the game, makes it difficult to reach $100,000 in 30 days.

And I'm genuinely pleased that my most anticipated backed project, The Reliquary Collection, has reached its funding goal!

Anyone who likes games with alot of miniatures, such as the recent ZOMBICIDE, might well want to check out SEDITION WARS.

I did not hesitate to back this one!

EDIT: This game already reached its goal in a few short hours. They probably knew that would happen so now it is just to sit back and see what rewards they come up with. I would not be surprised if it followed the ZOMBICIDE model since this game is coming from the same company.

Yeah I agree I don't know if they will hit their mark.

Unfortunately with this game, it's mostly novelty. I don't know anything about their chess engine but I remember buying battlechess way back in the day and I quickly tired of the battles and just wanted to get my chess on.

Good call on how BC played because quite frankly, I had forgotten how repetitive it became once the "novelty" wore off.

Here's a new project MACROBOTS that recommends (but not required) you have a floppy disc drive...I haven't used a floppy in years but I do have an external floppy drive tucked away somewhere. I'm not certain I want to dust it off for this game though....

Here's a website I found that does a great job tracking Kickstarter projects. Bookmark it for your use as it is much better than this thread so I'll let this one die.

great find, JPFalcon! Thanks.  I appreciate you trying to keep us updated on the latest Kickstarter projects that we might be interested in.  As great as Kickstarter is, how is it that they have no real search engine?
