Fåhraeus: Thanks for the interview! I am happy to report that Crusader Kings II is still doing very well and the future looks bright. We have planned the next four expansions in some detail, and I think people will be pleased with the subject matters!
Obviously CK2 has sold very very well. I'm interested in seeing what future additions are in store.
Rumor is the next ones will involve Pagans, and more detail into the Byzantines.

Makes logical sense. I guess another could possibly be the Cumans, if they aren't heaped in with the Pagans, along with Zoroastrians and such in some kind of 'Eastern' pack.

p.s./fyi: apparently the GG's version is NOT compatible with the Steam version, so make sure you buy the right version for your base game....
No.. the Gamersgate version doesn't use the Steam client and therefore doesn't have all that stuff integrated (or required) to run. So buy the DLC from whichever place you got the original.
This is for the Gamersgate version. For some oddball reason my launcher didn't say "update is available" so I just downloaded the 1.06 patch. This also updates your DLC launcher as well.

Anyone know if the game automatically updates to the 1.6 patch if you also purchase the Sword of Islam DLC? I'm wondering if I need to update first before getting it.

The DLC should update you to 1.6 since that's the version it's made with.
Just check your version number (and checksum if you want to really be sure) after applying the DLC.
