This is the "General Announcements" thread. All announcements that don't require a special and exclusive thread will be posted within. This includes forum/site adjustments, updates, rule changes, and other miscellanea.

6/8/12 - The forum language filter has been removed from the whole forum. We will make the language filter forum specific when a programmer arrives. But until then we will make due. All forum rules will be upheld by myself and the moderators.

6/14/12 - The "In the Brig" forum has been removed until/if we find another use for it.

6/14/12 - A new welcome forum has been created under a new section called "Enlistement & Feedback". The Wargamer Feedback forum was moved there too.

6/14/12 - The "General Computer Gaming Discussion" forum has been renamed to "Computer Gaming".

6/17/12 - The "Gaming Newsgroups" section has been removed.

6/17/12 - Combined the "BayonetGames Announcements", "Other BayonetGames Productions", "The World of Esaene", and "Warfighter Series Games" have been combined into the "BayonetGames" forum.

6/18/12 - "Bison's Crazy Corner" and "Beer & Pretzels" has been placed under the "General Discussion" forum. "Religion & Politics" has been moved into the General category next to the "General Discussion" forum. The "Scuttlebutt" category of the forum has been dissolved.

6/25/12 - "Matrix Games" and "Slitherine "sub-forums have been combined into "Matrix Games / Slitherine".

7/1/12 - "HPS General Discussion" forum has been absorbed into the "HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software" forum.

7/1/12 - Replaced "Ancient Warfare", "Medieval Warfare", "Gunpowder Warfare", "Industrial Warfare", and "Modern Warfare" military history forums with "Napoleonic Warfare", "American Civil War", "World War 1", and "World War 2."

7/3/12 - Renamed "Reenactments" to "Reenactments & Museums".

7/7/12  - Split "Tabletop Games and Miniatures" into "Board Games, Card Games & Tile-based Games" and "Miniatures & Figurines"

7/7/12 - "Reenactments & Museums" has been moved to the "Military Academy" section.

7/8/12 - Renamed "HOBBIES" section to "TECHNOLOGY & HOBBIES".

7/10/12 - Created new "Game Developers" section. Moved "MadMinute Games" to the "Game Developers" section. Created "Paradox Interactive" forum under "Game Publishers."

7/16/12 - Changed "HOBBIES & TECHNOLOGY" to "HOBBIES, INTERESTS, & TECHNOLOGY". added "Books, Comics & Poetry". Moved "Favorite fantasy author..." and "Jarhead's Poetry Corner" to "Books, Comics & Poetry".

8/2/12 - "Game Research" forum has been changed to "Game Research & Modding".

 8/5/12 -  Shortened forum descriptions. Added "Console Gaming" forum to "GAMES" section.  Changed "GAME PUBLISHERS" section to "GAME PUBLISHERS & DEVELOPERS". Removed "GAME DEVELOPERS" section and moved "MadMinute Games" to the former. Added the "THE GAMING PLAZA" section and moved "Intel", "Sell or Trade Forum", and "Gaming Conventions & Clubs" forums to it. "Alternate History & Fantasy/Science Fiction" forum changed to "Alternate History, Science Fiction & Fantasy".

8/7/12 - Created "Annoncements" forum within the "Wargamer Feedback & Forum/Site Rules" forum. This forum is for announcements. Created "Ask AGEOD" forum within the "AGEOD" forum. Created "Ask HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software" forum with the "HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software" forum. 

8/8/12 - "Copyright & DRM Discussion" and "Reviews & AAR's" forums have been moved to "The Gaming Plaza" section.  "Specific Military Tech Specs" section and all of its subforums have been absorbed into the "Military Hardware (Militaria) & Tech Specs" forum. The "Military Hardware (Militaria) & Tech Specs" forum has been renamed to "Militaria, Military Hardware & Tech Specs". "Battle HQ", "Battle Leagues", and "Games Depot" forums have been absorbed into "The Wargamer's Network General Discussion" forum. The "Just Released" forum has been absorbed into the "Intel" forum.

The "Intel" forum has been renamed to "Intel & Press Releases". "Game Research & Modding" forum has been renamed "Game Development, Research & Modding", and moved out from under "Intel & Press Releases" and placed directly under "The Gaming Plaza". Added "Movies, Documentaries & TV" forum to the "HOBBIES, INTERESTS & TECHNOLOGY" section. "Alternative History, Science Fiction, & Fantasy" forum has been moved direclty under the "Military History" forum. "Copyright & DRM Discussion" has been moved under "Game Development, Research & Modding" forum. "Game Copyright & DRM Discussion" has been renamed "Game Copyright, DRM & Law Discussion".

8/9/12 - "HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software" sub-forums have been moved under a new category called "GAME CATEGORIES", under the main "HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software" forum.

8/17/12 - Added direct links to our Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube pages under the "ENLISTMENT & FEEDBACK" section: "Facebook", "Twitter", "Youtube". Changed "Schwerpunkt Games" to "Schwerpunkt". Added the "Ask Schwerpunkt" forum underneath the "Schwerpunkt" forum.

8/20/12 - Changed "Ask Paradox Interactive" to "Ask Paradox Development Studio"

8/21/12 - Renamed "GAME CATEGORIES" subforum, within the HPS Simulations / John Tiller Software", to "GAME SERIES".

8/30/12 - Have added the "Tripwire Interactive" and "Ask Tripwire Interactive" forums. Added "InnoGames" and "Ask InnoGames" forums.

9/3/12 - Have changed "Works in Progress & Kickstarter/Indiegogo Projects" forum to "Works in Progress, Kickstarter/Indiegogo Projects, & Steam Greenlight". Have added  an "Academy Games" and "Ask Academy Games" forums. Have added an "Ask Petroglyph" forum.

9/4/12 - Have added an "Ask Matrix Games / Slitherine" forum. Have renamed "Storm Eagle Studios" forum to "StormPowered / Storm Eagle Studios". Have added an "Ask StormPowered / Storm Eagle Studios" forum.

9/6/12 - Have renamed "Works in Progress & Kickstarter/Indiegogo Projects, & Steam Greenlight" to "Kickstarter, Indiegogo, & Steam Greenlight". "Kickstarter, Indiegogo, & Steam Greenlight" was moved out from under "Intel and Press Releases" to directly under the "THE GAMING PLAZA". "Game Copyright, DRM & Law Discussion" has been absorbed into other subforums.

9/19/12 - "Shrapnel Games" and "Madminute Games" forums have been removed. "Steel Panthers Series" has been moved underneath "Matrix Games / Slitherine" forum. Have added "Grognard Simulations" and "Ask Grognard Simulations" forums.

9/24/12 - The main category "GAME PUBLISHERS, DEVELOPERS & DESIGNERS" has been renamed "PUBLISHERS, DEVELOPERS & DESIGNERS". All game publisher, developer and designer forums and ask forums have been placed under a new subcategory called "GAME PUBLISHERS, DEVELOPERS & DESIGNERS". The "Napoleonic Wars", "American Civil War", "World War 1", and "World War 2" forums have been moved underneath a new subcategory called "Wars, Conflicts & Eras". Have added a link to the GAME PUBLISHERS, DEVELOPERS & DESIGNERS" forums within the "GAMES" main category.

10/16/12 - The "Wars, Conflict & Eras" section has been completely absorbed into the "Military History" forum.
