With all the times Steel Panthers has been mentioned, and all of the talk about a remake here, on the Matrix forums and at the SPWAW Depot, you would think that someone would get the hint and start working on it.
Maybe we need to plead directly to Gary Grigsby and Keith Brors
Edited because I can't spell
Even just a Graphics Update would be awesome, no need to change the Gameplay!.. Of course a more reasonable price would be in order too.. still can't believe SPWAW is 69 bucks for download!
I disagree. The graphics are ok as they are, but there is a serious need to improve some things in gameplay.
* Multiplay, it was fun but very unstable and fiddly.
* AI really needs to be improved to stop mindless rushes and tanks outrunning infantry. The AI is good for simulating 1941 British and Soviets, and Japanese Banzai charges. Especially the function when after you have taken all the objectives all the AI squads just rise and charge seems very Iwo Jima, but not really fitting for anything else.
* More variation in random battles. It would be easy to include unexpected counterattacks etc. It's all very predictable as it is.

Double Disagree definately needs a graphics make over; i for one struggled to pick out units from backgrounds.

Age of Rifles, definitely.
(I'm perfectly fine with Shrapnel's current versions of Steel Panthers (SPWW2 and SPMBT)).
Same here.

In addition, I'll put in my usual request for a redone Star Trek TNG: Birth of the Federation.
That would be nice too.

Also, SSI's Star General. Lots of games have tried, but none have captured the same feel as Star General.
Another one would be Man of War and/or Man of War II. I really miss those games.

Ok, I admit the graphics could do with a makeover, but what I meant was that there are more important areas, and gameplay does need a refurbishment. If I could have just one, I would be totally happy to play SP with the old graphics with an AI and scenario variation enhancenmment.
