A post on gamersgate states MHII forces you to install to its chosen directory, is that true? I dont install games to C drive.

I don't recall having an issue there.  But I only install to a folder somewhere besides Program Files.. not into a totally separate partition.

Perhaps you're thinking of Steam games?

That shouldn't be in issue.  Perhaps with an older version of the game?  But GG has the current release, 1.26.  Even with accessing our multiplayer service, the Sandstone player should create a folder that links to where you've installed.

Thanks for the heads up. I love the Sgt. Rock pic by the way. When I was a kid, I read about Sgt. Rock and Easy Company all the time. That along with the Ghost Tank were the only comics I ever really read.

Thanks for the heads up. I love the Sgt. Rock pic by the way. When I was a kid, I read about Sgt. Rock and Easy Company all the time. That along with the Ghost Tank were the only comics I ever really read.

OK, bought it and managed to install it eventually as it wanted to use a big chunk of my C Drive for temp files. Tried to play, feels like a totally different game from the first one and I really struggled to get in to it. I really enjoyed first one so a little disappointed, will try again later.

I prefer the mechanics of the second one, myself.  There's just more meat to it.

Second the Sgt. Rock, Haunted Tank praise. I've still got a whole bunch of them bagged and they've appreciated in value quite nicely. Not alot of people are interested in them much anymore because they are so old and younger people don't relate to the 60's WWII TV shows and movies. I even got the comic where Rock got a new shirt for his birthday and then had it ripped into shreds again in no time in battle. I miss those comics.

Sorry, that was me.  That was weird...didn't even know I had that username.

I liked reading Weird War. It was probably my favorite combat comic book.

does an historical mod exists with historically plausible alliances enforced, with declarations of war that are within the tempo of the (historical) world war II? I passed on this one, it is far too sandbox for me.

There's a solution for your itch for WW2 global strategy non-sandbox:

Go Ageod! Go!

Honestly: Not many games of *that kind* out there, surely because those are hard to design and code, only:

HOI

Strategic Command, the global variant

Making History

GG World at War

(all to a greater or lesser degree sandbox)

In the future - when the indefatigable coders health improves - There will be Matrix World in Flames. But from what I get first version probably will be w/o AI.
