Status : Offline | I got the code too, and very much considered this purchase (at around $15 ??).
But.. it's WW2.
Being on the Eastern Front helps IMO but I'm still burned on it, and that's making me fence sit further.
Questions:
Does this base version only have like a dozen scenarios or something limited like that - no "random" or alternate setups?
How long does each take to play and does the AI mix up it's approach any on replays?
(I'm a bit concerned about replayability, if I ever got into it much)

So I just grabbed it anyway. I like the supply requirements and actually kinda like the "counters" and graphics.
The game system is quite Panzer General and one thing that kinda bothers me about it is how you can cycle a bunch of units through the same hex, to attack the same unit, in one turn. This makes me further appreciate Decisive Campaigns system of accruing attack points on a target hex so that penalties for overcrowding, in the attack, can be applied if the player attempts to do these Rotation Attacks which happen too easily here.
Other than that, I like the presentation. Having only 17 scenarios makes me wonder when they're gonna make much larger scenarios covering the whole, or big chunks, of the East Front.

Status : Offline | I guess I like the presentation. Its Panzer General-esque, and kinda relaxing to play. Time & a place for everything I 'spose. There's a time & a place for the complexity of a War in the East or Decisive Campaigns: Warsaw to Paris (two titles I do have) but UoC is very easy to just sit down & do a scenario or two in a short amount of time. I like it alot.

Sounds like the next area will be towards Berlin...

I was perusing Slitherine and literally almost bought this game yesterday. In fact, I decided before I bought it to come here and check out the forums to see what you guys thought of it, read the "Your favorite Eastern Front game" thread and decided to give it a shot before I purchase Case Blue.
Buying it now...

Nice timing. Cool bean-o!
Hearing about a spot of lucky happenstance always makes me smile.
Now if I could just regularly have those days where every light on my cross-town trip is green, and opening my power bill reveals one that actually went down for once.
