VERY interesting.

"Strategy" simulation, huh?  That's probably the best way to go about it, as opposed to an online 'sim'.   Then again, it could only be some lame browser game... we'll see.

Thx for the news Dest!

OK this is a browser based game. That is the only requirement to play.

No DRM because you don't really have the game at all.

I hate this idea with a passion.

No mods, no control, always wondering when the servers will dissappear.

This reminds me of onlive...

I've yet to see a browser-based Strategy so-called "MMO" that would hold my attention.  But at least this is something different than the hordes of the rest, I suppose.

I sure hope it isn't like most of the others where you give a couple-three orders and have to wait for a recharge or hours/days later for something else to do.

Lands and Lords...a German game, is in IMHO

head and shoulders above all the rest.  It is a real

wargame with hexes and everything.  Each "age" is played out in

1-2 hour turns (occasionally 15 mins for speed rounds) over usually

1500 turns so a game or an "age" runs over 1500-3000 hours.

It can get very exciting and usually does.  In 1500 turns you would not

think so many decisions could boil down to one turn timing but it

always seems to happen.  At the risk of being accused of being politically

incorrect it is how I always imagined "Germans" would make an online "wargame".

It is free. "Kostenlosse".   You may buy a premuim membership for about

3 Euro/month that gives some nice little frills but is in no way a tactical or

strategic advantage.  Like in war, you win and you lose.  Some games you

are a hammer and sometimes a nail.  There is extensive diplomacy between

players and almost every one will do you the courtesy of communicating

in English.  There are english rules that are quite usable besides the odd linguistic

quirk and there is an easy to use in game translator.  It is the best value (free)

that I have found online to date.  Try it.

cheers
