Short answer, but I think it is also correct.
If you need further help, there is a game specific forum open too that I would mention here.

They have dedicated forums for TOAW.
I have lived the world's dogma, that's why I know it's worthless.
follow up:
the box that my version of TOAW:ACOW came in has stickers on it that say "contains TOAWI, TOAWII, Battlepack" etc.
its a little misleading....it only contains the ACOW engine and the scenarios that were shipped with TOAWI and II etc. converted to ACOW for that shipment.
if you try to load a scenario created with the TOAWI / II editors, it won't work with ACOW.
OTOH, almost every I and II scenario is avai. in an ACOW version. so, there really is no need to try to load a I or II version into ACOW, just load the ACOW version.
a common question is whether PBEM games are compatible with I / II and ACOW. No, you have to have the same version of the game engine ( IvI, IIvII, or ACOWvACOW) to play PBEM in a scenario.
finally, if anyone is up for a game in either ACOW or TOAW II, I have room for another. drop me a line at damoncoffey@ev1.net if interested.
Hope that helps!
Noticed this footnote lurking in a scenario I downloaded (War in Europe v.7):
"Modifying Author for ACOW conversion : Chris C. Jones ccpirate_3@yahoo.com"
Original Author : Patrick Feyret pfeyret@free.fr
So you may want to try to correspond with one or bothe of them as they obviously have some experience with converting TOAWI scenes for use in ACOW.
There is also a toolset available http://www.tdg.nu called ODD I think, not sure what that contains other than a mapping tool.
Hope that helps!
